SCHOOL MATTERS

School Standard Operation Procedures

(SOP)

• Absence during exams - an official medical

certificate (MC) is required.

• Absence on a school day – MC or letter from

parent/guardian.

• For early departure on a school day –

parent/guardian must be present to sign out the

child.

• Avoid taking child on trips during term time – (not a

valid reason) Principal’s approval is required.

• Frequent absences & late-coming – school will

send out an advisory letter.

• Teachers will record daily attendance

using School Cockpit mobile phone

App.

• Parents/Guardians will receive a

phone message at 8.30am if child is

absent.

- Parents will be notified of pupils’ homework

assignments in their diaries

Late or Incomplete Work

-Parents will be informed of pupils who

consistently hand in incomplete or late homework

-Pupils might be required to complete this during

part of their recess or after school

- Homework being left to the last minute

- Children saying there is no homework

- Children rushing homework

- Frustration from both child and parents

- Homework/stationery getting misplaced

- Homework taking much longer than really

needed
