Achievements
Final Year students participated in Two days Workshop on Antenna Design and Fabrication that was organized by St Xavier’s Technical institute in association with IETE Mumbai centre on 27 & 28 July 2018. Each student fabricated different types of antenna and demonstrated the working and calculated the radiation pattern.
ISTE sponsored ‘PCB Workshop’ was conducted on 21-07-2018 and 22-07-2018 by Mr Mahesh Munde, Mrs Surbhi Goashinde and Stevenson.
Final Year students Ms Janavi sawant, Ms Rajasi Tambe won Third Prize in MSBTE sponsored Paper Presentation competition held in this Institute on 6/9/2018
Ms Janavi sawant, Ms Rajasi Tambe and Mr Nehanshu won second prize in Paper Presentation competition held in Fr Agnel Polytechnic Vashi on 28/9/2018
Final Year students underwent Industrial visit to ‘MTNL’ in batches of 3 consisting of 31 students in each group on 24 Aug, 31 Aug and 7 sep 2018
Students actively took part in IEDSSA(Inter Engineering Diploma Students Sports Association). The students of all the semesters actively participated in Maharashtra level sports competition. Students participated in Indoor and Outdoor games like chess, carom, cricket, football, volleyball, tennis e.t.c.
Girls carom team won 2nd prize at zonal level in year of 2016-17 and 2017-2018 under IEDSSA.
Twice St Xavier’s Technical institute organized basket ball event in the year 2017 and 24 Jan2018.
A Meditation session was organized by Fr. Fabian Berreto (Administrator of XIE) for all the students and staff of diploma from 1/10/2018 to 5/10/2018 (one week).The session was conducted from 4:00 pm to 4:30 pm.
A yoga session was conducted by Mr.Ketan Thakur and his team from 8/10/2018 to 12/10/2018 to all the students and staff.
Under the guidelines of Swatch Bharat Abhiyann, on 1/10/2018 Principal, staff members and all the students took part actively in cleaning the college premises.
Students of all the year planted trees in the college premises under the go green project. Each student brought plant saplings and planted in the surroundings.
Students of DETE (1st, 2nd and 3rd Year) attended the Magnetic Maharashtra: Convergence 2018 was a summit held in Mumbai, India on February 18–20, 2018. The event aimed to attract 10 lakh crore rupees of investment into the economy of Maharashtra. The summit was attended by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The students were accompanied by 5 staff members. They attended it as employees of different companies.
Students of First year visited Doordarshan centre at worli as a part of industrial visit on 11/10/2018.The students were accompanied by the staff member Mrs Sanchita Datta.
Every Year the students of all the Semester undergo ACADEMIC SKILLS program. In this program each student have to present a PPT to the appointed staff member. The students are grouped in to 20 and each group is assigned to a teaching staff to whom the PPT has to be presented. The PPT timings are incorporated in the Time-table. Among the groups the best 3 PPTS are selected by respective staff members and are allotted first, second and third prize. Academic skills are a part of the curriculum.
Model Answers are prepared by the staff member for ESE and the same are used for the paper assessment. The Modal answers are uploaded on the Website Xaviertech.com.
A Guest lecture was arranged on “FIRST AID” for the Second year students, which was conducted by Dr Geeta Fernandes.
Apart from the Annual Day mega event, the students organized events like “Traditional Day”, ”Saree day”, “Rose day”, “Chocolate day”, “Scarf and Tie Day”, etc.
The college conducted MSBTE sponsored Technical paper presentation on 6/9/2018.Principal being the convener, Mr. Mahesh Munde was coordinator and Mr.Gheware was a Co-coordinator for the event.
X-TECH organized NEXTECH 15, NEXTECH 16, and NEXTECH 17, a National Level Technical Project Exhibition, LAN Gaming competition, Circuit Building and Technical Paper Presentation competition around March 2015, 2016, 2017 respectively. This was a three-day event where participation from students from polytechnics all over India was called for, and we had students coming in from Karnataka, besides our own state of Maharashtra.
Since 2008, X-TECH has been organizing this National Level event every year. The objective of this event is to provide a platform for students of various polytechnics to bring forth and demonstrate their creativity and innovativeness, by actually designing, building and demonstrating working model projects of new as well as existing ideas with innovation.
