From the President’s DeskThe Ferguson Library partners with many organizationsthroughout the Stamford community. One of them isthe Stamford Art Assocation, which curates art forongoing shows at the Library. Our summer exhibit,Memory of Stories, opens May 17 with a reception atthe Main Library at 6 p.m. This theme is especially
appropriate since we have just finished phase one of an oral history proj-ect to collect and preserve Stamford stories. Our partnerships help us provide richer and more varied service. For
example, last month we partnered with SilverSource to show the film“Edith + Eddie,” followed by a discussion of aging and elder rights. Weoften bring our book discussions to the Senior Center and Boys and GirlsClub. Our Bookmobile travels throughout Stamford to pre-schools andother locations. Currently, The Ferguson Library partners with over 80organizations throughout the community. – Alice Knapp, President
