Not throwing washing residue to in-appropriate place

Establishing terrace ring

Establishing individual terrace (shoe horse shape);

Cultivating vertifer grass; and

Sustaining natural vegetation in left and right side of river

Conducting monitoring over water quality, surface water and effluent

Conducting monitoring over waste utilization for mill. One of the implementation over this commitment is monitoring over water utilization. Management unit is conducting periodic (every 6 months) monitoring over water utilization in environment laboratory. monitoring over water quality management such as:

Monitoring over water quality in Ujung Tanjung. Based on this monitoring, one parameter has exceeding standard threshold, which is pH. Information from environment staff (Ms Prinda) and evaluation in RKL/RPL document, the low of pH was caused by the low pH of soil water from the start because this environment is acid.

Monitoring over surface-water quality in headwater and downstream of Kandis River and Anggek Tapak River. Based on monitoring over surface water quality, some parameters have exceeding the standard threshold like pH, BOD, COD, DO, Total Phosphor, Oil and Fat. Information from environment staff and evaluation on RKL/RPL document, before surface water flowing PT. Ivo Mas Tunggal (Ujung Tanjung Mill and Ujung Tanjung Estate) area, some parameters have been exceeding the standard quality and down to downstream, the condition of surface water is getting better. This condition is well described in surface water analysis result.

In addition to monitoring over soil water and surface water quality, auditor got information from environment staff and document review, its known that management unit has periodically conducted monitoring over effluent, for instance from April to June 2014 (in line with report in RKL/RPL Semester I in 2014 document) there was no effluent parameter that exceeded standard threshold. Management unit also conducted regular monitoring for water utilization in mill. Based on information from staff SPO Ujung Tanjung Mill and document‟s review, management unit has regularly conducted regular monitoring for water utilization in mill.
