DRUGS AND ALCOHOL
Any Person caught in possession ofunder the influence of drugs oralcohol will be removed from site

NO HORSEPLAY
Stress that horseplay on site will not be tolerated and could lead todismissal and the incident being reported to the police or HSE asthis could be seen as assault. Example:On one site a worker flicked a lit match at a colleague as a joke.Unfortunately the mans overalls had inflammable liquid spilled onthem and he ended up with serious burns.Stress the need for common sense!!

Look after your P.P.E. and always wear it whenrequired

COMPRESSED GAS & LIQUID
Check valves and allow gas to flow in one direction only Flashback arrestors are designed to eliminate the possibility of
any explosion at the cylinder. Combination Check/ Flashback Valves can be placed at the
torch or regulator The maximum safe working pressure for acetylene is 15 PSI ! Cylinders containing compressed gases must be securely
restrained in an upright or horizontal position and chained. Employees should be familiar with the details of the Material
Safety Data Sheets for the gases concerned Oils, greases and other organic materials must never be used
with oxygen. Oil used on cylinders or regulators, can causeexplosions.
