Access Control | Readykey™ K2010 Proximity Keyfob

Overview

The K2010 Keyfob is compatible with the Stanley GS3, Readykey K2000-series and Easikey reader and credential range. Unobtrusive and compact it fits on a keyring and can be easily incorporated into any existing Stanley PAC Access, Readykey™ for Windows or PAC Vision security management software, and is often usedwhere photo ID is not required.

As an alternative to the traditional mechanical key, millions of Stanley PAC proximity cards and fobs are used by people as an easy and reliable means of gainingaccess to their places of work and other secured access points e.g. car park barriers and turnstiles.

The passive proximity technology in the Keyfob requires no batteries or physical contact with the reader; this helps assure that the keyfobs are virtually wear-freeand will provide years of service with no maintenance backed by a lifetime guarantee. Robust, world-class construction combined with advanced technology and apre-programmed unique identification number without site codes, makes programming easy and copying almost impossible.

Together with the access control system, the Keyfob enables a user's movements to be monitored and the building protected. The Keyfob need only be held nearthe proximity door reader for the code to be read and access granted or denied within 0.5 of a second. In the event that the keyfob is lost or stolen, it can easilybe replaced and the lost keyfob access privileges, simply and instantly revoked.

Overview

The Stanley GS3-LF Mullion proximity reader offers unsurpassed quality and reliability, together with guaranteed quick and dependable read times keep trafficmoving through secure areas.

The attractive enclosure is ideally suited to locations that require a reader with a small footprint that can mount on either a door frame (mullion) or any flat surface.When the reader senses the presentation of a valid card or key fob, a high visibility bi-color LED can be combined with the built-in audible sounder indicating thataccess has been granted, and tamper notification.

Both reliable and difficult to compromise, the reader is constructed of rugged polycarbonate plastic and potted using flame-retardant resin allowing completefreedom of use - both indoors and out.

6STANLEY PAC Reader Replacement GuideIntroduction

This is as a guide for determining the appropriate replacement part for readers that are no longer manufactured. This includes the switch settings and wiring needed wheninstalling each reader. This is NOT a complete guide to all the functions and features of the GS3 readers. Refer to other documents for the full feature set of the new readers.

ADI Part # This is the part number of the current reader. Also included is a description of the reader type.

PAC # This is the PAC part number that can be found somewhere on the reader itself. This is usually the only sure way of identifying a particular reader in the field.

Credentials

This includes all the credential types read by the reader.Kxxxx credentials are PAC (K201x, 153 kHz) or KeyPAC (K301x, 125 kHz) cards (Kx011) and fobs (Kx010)Dxxxx credentials are PAC (D82xx, 153 kHz) or KeyPAC (D83xx, 125 kHz) cards (D8x39) and fobs (D8x38). These include a label withthe 26 bit code output from a reader with a wiegand output.

Output

PAC: Single conductor labelled SIG.Wiegand: Two conductors labelled D0/D1.Original readers are either factory set (D82xx series) to one of the two output types or are field selectable (K300x, OPxxx series).All new GS3 readers are field selectable.

Replacement This includes the ADI part number and description for the replacement reader model.

Switches This shows the feature switch settings required to achieve the same functionality as the original reader. Switch 5 controls whether the readerbeeps or not on reading a card and can be set either way.

Wiring (Readers) This covers the wiring specification used by the replacement reader. In some cases the existing installed wiring may be to a lowerspecification.

Line Driver (Admin) The GS3 admin kits are no longer supplied with a line driver. The appropriate part should be purchased separately.
