This  whole  process  should  take  just  a  few  minutes  each  pay  period.

This  will  update  STAR  with  any  Opt  Outs  and  Member  Plan  Numbers  that  need  to  be  included  in  your  pension  feed  (you  can  manually  match  no;fica;ons  to  workers  if  required).  

2.      Calculate  your  payroll  as  normal.

3.      Go  to  the  Auto  Enrolment  Dashboard  in  STAR  and  follow  the  steps  shown  below:  

3a.  Check  the  payroll  data  is  ready  to  generate  the  pension  feed.    

3b.  Generate  the  data  and  save  it  to  a  loca;on  on  your  computer  (N.B.  at  this  point  please  do  not  make  changes  to  the  file  as  this  could  result  in  it  failing  to  upload).    

3c.  You  can  review  the  feed  details  on  screen  –  once  you’re  happy  that  it  is  ready,  simply  click  Send  Feed.  

pensionsync  validates  your  data  upfront  to  iden;fy  the  majority  of  errors  before  sending  the  data  to  the  pension  provider.    

The  pension  providers  will  carry  out  addi;onal  data  checks  and  the  processing  ;mes  for  these  vary.    

You  can  check  the  feed  in  the  Auto  Enrolment  Dashboard  in  STAR  plus  the  pensionsync  Alerts  Dashboard  will  also  show  a  completed  alert  once  the  data  has  been  processed.  See  our  Guide  to  checking  feeds  for  more  informa;on.  

If  there  are  any  errors,  you  can  view  detailed  error  messages  on  the  Alerts  Dashboard.
