○ Students receive on Day 1 of Term 1

■ MacBook Air Laptop Program Handbook 2019
○ Student Computer Use Agreement form (was in the enrolment documents)
● Stationery List emailed– order online or purchase at retail outlets● Textbook List emailed – MUST order online at the Campion website by Wednesday
12th December.● Language selection completed online by Friday 19 October; all students have received
their two preferred languages
Preparation for arrival at Star
● Practise transport to Star over the summer holidays.○ PTV Journey planner - myki necessary as public transport system○ Student Concession Forms – from PTV website in 2019 - bring filled out form with
2 passport photos attached to Reception for College stamp and signing○ College administration opens on Monday 14 January 2019
● Label ALL items of uniform, stationery, books, school bag and sports bag with first and last name.
● Sports Uniform, College Backpacks and Sports Bag○ Purchase from Star Uniform Shop at Anzac Campus on North Road○ Must make an appointment through Trybooking (instructions in booklet)
● Fill in CareMonkey profile - families receive information via email○ Most College communications are through CareMonkey
● Log onto PAM (Parent Access Module) - receive password in December.
Orientation Day:Monday 3 December 2018
Years 10 to 12 students will have finished classes by Monday 6 December.
● Please bring a pencil case, drink bottle of water and a hat○ We provide morning tea for the students.○ All information in an email sent home in August.
Commences at 9am
● Allow time for travel and parking
● Year 7 Mentors and Class Captains will welcome students in Presentation Place
● Students will meet their Mentor Group & Mentor and find out their House
● Students will be allocated a locker and a lock (to practice opening over the holidays)
● ‘Get to know you’ games and activities
● ‘Taste Test’ classes (no homework!)
PICK UP students from Presentation Place at 1pm
FIRST DAY of school:Thursday 31 January 2019
● NO CLASSES – students only need pencil case with a pen and coloured pencils/textas
● ‘Get to know you’ games and activities for the students
● Students may start bringing books for their locker
○ No subject lessons.
○ DO NOT need all books: a bag a day over the first week.
● Arrive before 8:30am - allow for travel time/parking - Martin St will be very busy
● Meet Mentors in Presentation Place:
○ Students will be directed to the Patricia Carroll Auditorium
○ Students will be welcomed into their first whole-school assembly
● Parents are welcome to meet in Nagle Café for tea and coffee
● Students receive LAPTOPS – Computer Use Agreements must have been completed
and signed by student and parent in order to receive a laptop.
● Dismissed from school at 3:20pm

● Students may bring books to put in their locker - DO NOT need all books for first days!
● Label everything with first and last name
