Hes more used by the Siths than Jedis. Dawn of Dagobah Crystal: It was a namesake of crystal seldomly used in lightsaber construction. The crystal imparts an acidic affect when used during combat, inflicting a minor amount of damage.Dils Crystal: Mined on Sullsut and common name for female Sullustans. If you wield a lightsaber attuned with a Dils Crystal, you gain a +5 Force bonus to Perception checks.EmpethCrystal: Theses crystals appear only once every ten years an only one pair at a time. They seems to contain light naturally when they grow and once cropped theyre nearly indestructible. They continue to glow 5 years after their crop on before to become tern. The crystal valley where thy appear is a part of the King's private estate and guarded by the King's Own GuardEralamCrystal: Eralam was a type of lightsaber crystal once mined on the third moon of the planet Erai, though orbital bombardments by ancient Sith forces against the moon made them very rare. If they could be found, Eralam crystals produced a clear, superior lightsaber beam.Eternity Crystal: The Eternity Crystal was allegedly the pinnacle of Jerni science, capable of winding back time to a horrendous event, and guiding the future in a different and more positive direction.KatakCrystal: Little was known about Katak Crystals or their origins. They were generally only found in the lightsabers of dark side Force users that managed to drain some of the life force of those within close vicinity. This would not be enough to instantly fatigue the victim, however; prolonged exposure would prove to be fatal.Healing crystal of fire: The Healing Crystals of Fire were one of the greatest treasures of the Jedi Order. Named for the eternal flames that burned inside each crystal, they were said to be able to bring an individual back from the brink of death. Every ally within 6 squares of the wielder of a lightsaber build with a healing crystal of fire gain an extra use of a second wind once per encounter and a Force Bonus of +3 to Survival and Endurance checks.HiridiuCrystal: Hiridiu crystals had the capacity to boost communications signals by their mere proximity. This led to their use in many communications systems during the time of the Old Republic. The Alliance to Restore the Republic also capitalized on this capacity by constructing their secret Outer Rim Communications Center near a hiridiu outcrop on Generis. Lava Crystal: A lava crystal was a lightsaber crystal that could only be found on volcanic planets and moons such as Mustafar. It generated a blade that resembled lava. The crystal itself was less focused and concentrated than normal crystals, therefore lava itself was generated from the extreme heat of the dense, heavy blade, creating bits of flame and sometimes splashed and dripped out from the blade itself. This crystal was rumored to be very powerful. Lignan crystals: These exceptionally powerful lightsaber crystals were made from Lignan ore mined on Kesh and Phaegon III. Lignan was very powerful in the dark side of the Force. Lignan-enhanced lightsabers allowed the blade to burn hotter, last far longer and to cut through objects faster than normal lightsaber crystals.LorrdianGemstone: Lorrdian gemstones were crystals used to upgrade lightsabers. They originated during the Kanz Disorders, when the enslaved Lorrdians were forced to develop kinetic communication to communicate with one another. This gave the Lorrdians the ability to better predict the actions of others, including their Argazdan overlords, by careful observation of subtle changes in body language. A few Force-sensitive Lorrdians imbued certain gemstones with similar abilities. When these gems were installed in a lightsaber, the user was better able to read the actions of their opponents. This enhanced the wielder's overall defenses and ability to deflect blaster bolts. LuxumCrystal: A Luxum crystal was a type of crystal that could be used in lightsaber construction. These crystals were from the world of Ambria, a planet gripped by dark energies, where they were formed out of the minerals and Force energy contained in Lake Natth through long and deep meditation. They were more effective against droids, imparting an ion effect to a lightsaber blade.Mytag crystals. They were synthetic crystals used in ancient communication and scanning technology. Some crystals were used in the Ark of Baron Auletphant, that collected aquatic specimens from across the galaxy before to be lost for over ten thousand years. A lightsaber build with this crystal functions when in water without waterproof casing and gives to her holder a Force Bonus of +3 to attack and Persuasion Tests against aquatic creatures.NakTraCrystal: The Nak'tra crystal was a type of crystal found in the Myyydril Caverns on the Wookiee homeworld Kashyyyk. The Myyydril tribe maintained crystal gardens to use the harvested crystals in their crystal rifles and other weapons. Nak'tra crystals could also be used to create a Jedi lightsaber. When set in a lightsaber's crystal chamber, Nextor generated a highly volatile, yet powerful blade.NovaCrystal: Nova crystals were a valuable commodity. Raw crystals freed from their rocky matrix were unstable (sensitive to jostling and heat) and highly explosive, and for further use they had to be bound to inert trace elements in refineries. The crystals themselves were bright green and easily crafted into gemstones for jewelry and decoration. Nova crystals were used as a makeshift currency in the Outer Rim and other places where Galactic Credit Standards were not accepted. Also, while still relatively volatile, they could be used as ammo or weapon components. The planet Mygeeto held immense deposits of nova crystals, which contributed to its great mineral wealth.PermafrostCrystal: Permafrost crystals were deep, icy blue crystals like their homeworld: Hoth. Their coloration was a trait they passed on to the blade of any lightsaber into which they were incorporated. When one of the crystals was tuned by a Force-sensitive for use in a lightsaber, it became a focusing crystal and could only be used in lightsabers constructed by the individual who tuned it. QixoniCrystal: These unique, powerful gems were formed when a planet of the Qixoni system was consumed as its star went supernova, millennia before the Jedi Civil War. The heat and energy of the star caused metals and minerals in the planet to become fused into crystals which was then blasted into the Qixoni Nebula when the planet was destroyed. Those few Qixoni crystals that were obtained by the Jedi were discovered to make powerful lightsaber focusing crystals.RuusanCrystal: Ruusan crystals came from the Mid Rim planet of the same name. While not directly affecting a lightsaber's effectiveness, they aided a Jedi in focusing the Force.Rylith Crystal: This crystal is capable of collecting and storing solar energy. The energy cell of a lightsaber equipped with this crystal recharges herself when the blade is exposed to natural light.Seoularian Crystal: Seoularian crystals were a type of crystal native to the planet Seoul 5. They were a source of power, and after being stockpiled in a crystal control room, they helped power the main city on the planet. The crystals were unique in that they responded to mental power, and were able to create concentrated shock-waves strong enough to knock someone off their feet.StygiumCrystal: The Galactic Republic, in 22 BBY, passed a law controlling the trade of stygium, as it was a crystal that, when used properly, could entirely cloak a vehicle. Aeten II held an abundance of them. In its pure crystal form, it was known to be suitable for use as a lightsaber crystal. It was known that when refined Stygium was mounted on a personalized lightsaber and wielded by a Force-sensitive, the natural cloaking attributes of the crystal would augment the power of a stealth-minded Jedi in remaining unseen. Sun Crystal: Sun crystals were precious stones found on Jazbina and the Forest Moon of Endor. The fragile gems had the ability to exponentially reflect and brighten light. Exposure could lead to light addiction and, ultimately, blindness.Thaissen Crystal: Thaissen crystals were found only on the planet Mimban. The crystals glowed lightly in close proximity of a Force-sensitive individualblue normally, but red when in close proximity of a darksider. The Emperor saw that these crystals could be used to create a Force detector so that common Imperial troops could detect and hunt Jedi as well.Volduuk Crystal: Known only by the Bith and very rares. If you wield a lightsaber attuned with a Volduuk Crystal, you gain a +5 Force bonus to trained Knowledge checks.VorsianCrystal: Vorsian crystals were a kind of clear crystal from Vorsia.Viridian Crystal: A Viridian Crystal was a rare type of crystal from the Viridia system that gives a typical blade color.

After the execution order 66 (19 years before the Battle of Yavin IV) the Galactic Empire as forbidden the possession of crystals that may be used to build lightsabers. To simulate this, add at least 3 degrees of rarity to any crystal and consider that wearing a lightsaber as illegal. This state disappeared after the fall of the Empire and by the beginning of the New Jedi Order Era (5 years after the Battle of Yavin IV) but even at this moment crystals are rarer than during the Old Republic Era. To reflect this, add 1 degree to rarity of any crystal (2 during the Yuzhaan Vong Invasion).

Lightsaber colors Signification

4,000 years before the battle of Yavin IV, lightsabers colors were used to show the jedi class appurtenance:

-Blue was for Jedi Guardian that used the Force as a physical enhancer. -Green was for Jedi Consular that studies the mysteries of the Force and how to battle the Dark Side. -Yellow was the symbol of Jedi Sentinel that use is skills in a balance of combat and intellect.-Red was for Siths and Dark Side users only.This distinction disappeared when blue and green crystals become more and more common to the galaxy.

Yellow, orange and purple lightsabers where still used until the Rise of the Empire but where always rarer and often transmitted from generation to generation.
