Death Star TossIn order to defeat the Empire you must de-stroy the Death Star by damaging the ex-haust port.

To practice hitting the small exhaust port on the Death Star create a tossing game. If you have a game of cornhole, take a piece of paper and draw a large gray circle as the Death Star. You can add as much detail as you would like. The hole of your corn hole game will be the exhaust port and should be positioned near the top half of the space sta-tion. Cut out the hole and attach your paper to the corn hole board. Use your toss bean-bags as lasers.

If you do not have a cornhole game, you can create your own using cereal boxes. Begin by cutting a hole in the front of the cereal box. Be sure the hole is large enough for the object you will be tossing. Then, cut the long sides of the cereal box at a vertical angle so it will be at a slope when placed on a �at surface. Decorate the cereal box (now your corn hole game) if desired.

Practice hitting the exhaust port. The Rebel Alliance needs you!


Target PracticePractice your aim at some unsuspect-ing stormtroopers.

Use empty water bottles, empty toilet paper tubes, empty cans, or something else easy to stand up and knock over. Either draw stormtrooper faces with a permanent marker directly on your items or draw them on paper, cut them out, and attach.

Set your stormtroopers up at one end of your area. Here is where you can get creative. Use a standard bowling set up, leave them all in a row, stack them up on top of each other, or any way you choose.

To knock them over �nd something that rolls and is heavy enough to knock them over: a ball, an orange, balled up socks, or something completely wacky! If you have a nerf gun try using that. Roll or gently toss your object at your stormtroopers and see how many you can knock down!


Jedi TrainingLuke and Rey went through extensive training to become Jedi.

Set up your own Jedi training obstacle course. Use hoola hoops, boxes, jump ropes, balls, and other objects to create a course. Be sure to include jumping, climbing, running, and other skills such as, in, through, around, over. When conquering the course, be sure to train in di�erent patterns: go in zig-zag, try doing things backwards, use a blindfold, etc.

Lightsaber SkillsPractice your lightsaber skills with this fun activity.

Every good Jedi must practice using their lightsaber! The young-lings in the temple and Luke on the Millennium Falcon practiced hitting �oating targets. To practice with your own �oating targets use bubbles!

Create a lightsaber of your own. Pool noodles are great choices but you can also use Nerf swords, long balloons, tree sticks, or broom handles. You can even create mini lightsabers with chopsticks.

If you use something hard like a stick or broom, be sure to have a safe area around you so you do not accidentally hit anyone or any-thing besides bubbles and make sure your parents approve your lightsaber choice. Now let’s test those skills! In your backyard or wide open space, have someone blow bubbles for you to hit with your lightsaber skills. And remember, Jedi only use lightsabers for defense and never to hurt people. Do not succumb to the dark side!

Rescue Han Solo ScienceMaterials Needed• Ice cube tray or small container• Baking Soda• Vinegar• Water• Han Solo LEGO �gure or anything you would like to freeze in carbonite• Small Bowl

instructions• Mix 3 parts baking soda with 1 part water• Pour a small amount of mixture into the bottom of the ice cube tray or small container• Place Star Wars toy or other figure into each section• Cover each toy with remaining mix-ture• Place in freezer for a few hours• Remove figures now frozen in “carbo-nite” and place in small bowl• Add vinegar to melt away the carbo-nite and rescue your figure!


Yoda Ears and Leia HairMaterials Needed• Green Paper (Yoda)• Brown Paper (Leia)• Scissors• Glue • Cotton (Yoda)• Brown Yarn (Leia)

instructions• Cut the green or brown paper into thick strips, 2-3 inches wide• Glue or staple the strips together to form a circle large enough for your head• Cut out two large circles for Leia or two large ear shapes for Yoda• Decorate the ears/buns with pulled apart cotton balls (Yoda) or spiraled yarn (Leia)• Attatch the ears/buns to the headband and place on head• Finished!

BB-8 PlateMaterials Needed• Paper Plate x2• Scissors• Glue• Black, Silver or Gray, and Orange Markers• Optional: Brad• Optional: Orange Paper

instructions• Place your paper plate bottom side up. This will be BB-8’s body• Take your other paper plate and cut off the top portion for BB-8’s head• Glue the head to the top of the body• Optional: Take a strip of white paper and glue one end to BB-8’s head and attach the other end to the middle of BB-8’s body with a brad (as illustrated in the image with a black strip of paper)• Decorate BB-8 with markers or cut out orange circles and glue on• Don’t forget his eye and iconic orange circles• Finished!


Chewbacca PuppetMaterials Needed• Paper Bag• Brown Paper• Glue Stick• Black and White Paper Scraps• Scissors

instructions• Place paper bag flat on the table so the bottom is facing up and toward you• Take brown paper (or white paper colored brown) and tear into small 1 in. or 1/2 in. squares• Glue the now torn brown paper scraps to the bag as Chewbacca’s fur• Take the white paper and cut or tear a row of teeth then glue under the flap of Chew-bacca’s “mouth”• Add eyes and a nose with paper or mark-ers• Take a strip of black paper and glue across Chewbacca’s chest with white squares for his bandolier• Insert your hand in the bag and make Chewbacca talk• Finished!



EwoksMaterials Needed• Empty TP Tube• Any Shade of Brown Paper• Other Colored Paper• Scissors• Glue• Marker• Optional: Brown Pipe Cleaner or Stick

instructions• Cover TP tube in brown paper• Cut out colored paper 1 1/2 times as long as tube• Cut hole in colored paper for the face of your ewok• Glue colored paper to ewok tube draped over the top as pictured• Draw eyes and any other details• Add ears, hands, and walking stick as desired• Finished!


Darth vader BookmarkMaterials Needed• Black Paper• Scissors• Glue• Dark Black Marker/Sharpie• Silver Sharpie or White Out Pen

instructions• Cut your black paper into a square (save the scraps for later)• Fold into a bookmark as shown• Cut the scrap into a half circle to fit the top of Vader’s head• Glue on Vader’s helmet• Take the dark and light sharpies or other markers and add details such as eyes, mask lines, breathing controls, and anything else you wish• Stick on the corner of a book page• Finished!
