Stardust © Debi Montgomery Fabric Requirements Here we are at the beginning of another STUNNER!! I love this pattern, everything about it. We have some familiar blocks in this pattern, but we also have some new ones for a twist on things. I am SO EXCITED for this!! We are going to be using four fabrics for this one. They are a bit tricky to explain, but I am sure you will get it. We have two backgrounds, a medium, and a dark. The two backgrounds are “light” but different colours, I designed with light blue and cream neutrals. The medium is more like a “pop” or “focus” fabric. The dark will make the secondary patterns pop, but you won’t want this to be a large print. Small to medium prints will work well for all fabrics, even a medium to medium-large would be ok for the medium fabric. You could easily use a monochrome palette with a focus or pop fabric as the medium. For the two light backgrounds, you want contrast in colour for the pattern to show the design in all it’s glory. I would NOT use the same colours for these ie: cream and tan, these need to have more contrast more like grey and cream or white, even a print and a solid would work perfectly. Here’s what we need to complete our project. I CANNOT WAIT TO START!!!! The requirements and measurements INCLUDE a frame border for all sizes in the background 2 fabric, for the “border” pattern to pop we need to keep it this colour. I added a dark outer border to the queen and king. I love this pattern SO much, I am making the king size. Here are my choices: My Background 1 is tone on tone vines and flowers.
