Starting From Scratch: What You Should Know About Heavy Lift Equipment The enormously weighed items are transported from one place to another sometimes across country borders that are then lifted or installed into place, where the handling of transportation and installation of massive and huge items are highly indivisible, and weights are generally accepted to be in the range of 1 ton to over 1000 tons and of widths/heights more than 100 meters that are too large to fit into normal containers or onto conventional transporters. Characteristic for heavy lift goods is the absence of standardization which requires an individual transport planning. In-house developed and manufactured cranes are used within the industry and have become a standard in the design and construction of heavy lift cranes , this heavy lift equipment are used to build a large range of both on and offshore cranes, varying in size and type. All are characterized by their light weight and their small footprint that are designed to meet client's specific requirements, these cranes are either tailor- made or an existing crane concept is Reused and amended.

Starting From Scratch: What You Should Know About Heavy Lift Equipment

The enormously weighed items are transported from one place to another sometimes across country borders that are then lifted or installed into place, where the handling of transportation and installation of massive and huge items are highly indivisible, and weights are generally accepted to be in the range of 1 ton to over 1000 tons and of widths/heights more than 100 meters that are too large to fit into normal containers or onto conventional transporters. Characteristic for heavy lift goods is the absence of standardization which requires an individual transport planning.

In-house developed and manufactured cranes are used within the industry and have become a standard in the design and construction of heavy lift cranes, this heavy lift equipment are used to build a large range of both on and offshore cranes, varying in size and type. All are characterized by their light weight and their small footprint that are designed to meet client's specific requirements, these cranes are either tailor-made or an existing crane concept is Reused and amended.

All crane components must be thoroughly tested throughout the production process and before installation into the crane, these cranes itself undergoes an extensive Factory Acceptance Test before delivering it to clients. Up to a level of certain capacity the crane can be load tested on the

test facility in workshops and this facility allows tilting of the cranes to simulate working conditions offshore

Heavy Lift service covers the following:

Highways planning if required

Insurance

Heavy lift equipment involves special considerations, such as lift radius, machine capacity at a given radius, wind speed, and ground conditions, a proper hook up or connection between the object being lifted and the lifting device is critical, This is also known as “rigging” and involves methods, principles, and technical data that must be known in order to safely perform the lift.

The Size of the lifting equipment evolved in size over the years and today’s equipment is capable of enormous lifts with relative ease of movement from job to job, especially when compared with the equipment of the past.

The need for advanced lifting systems and increasing safety parameters of the offshore industry are the major drivers attracting investment in for heavy

lifting and material handling equipment market, where the major product categories available in this market are offshore cranes, subsea winches, A- frames, pull-in systems, skidding and trolley systems, module handling

towers and compensators. Apart from the above mentioned product categories several other equipments are designed to cater the need of the offshore industry, The market for heavy lifting and material handling equipment for the offshore industry is anticipated to grow at a substantial rate in future owing to increasing requirements from offshore operators.
