The SPARK ParkThe SPARK ParkThe SPARK Park opened in May, 2019 but it's been a great for students this fall.Combining the components of STEM with a decorative rocket and the African imagesof totems, the Park is a colorful statement of learning and fun. The Lawson Academy'spark is included in the 2020 SPARK Park calendar (August) and we're proud to be apart of this commitment to provide green space within our community.

Thanks to the Houston Chapter of the Links, students from The Lawson Academy were ableto experience a Studio Series performance of the Houston Ballet. Links' Arts Committee ChairMelanie Lawson is also on the WALIPP Advisory Board and she makes sure to that scholarshave a great time.
Not only do our scholars experience the grandeur of the music and the beauty of dance, itgives each student an opportunity to consider herself or himself as a dancer. Rememberthat without a dream -- nothing can happen!
Each spring Prima Ballerina Lauren Anderson conducts ballet lessons for The LawsonAcademy. So the ballet is really the start of shaping how our students see themselves.
