In the mattes of the tariffs of Souawestern B e l l Tele- phone Corapany for mobile telephone service in and around Fort S m i t h , Arkansas.

On February 2, 1965, Southwestern Bell Telephone Company filed tar i f f s covering charges for mobile telephone ser- vice through its exchange at Fort S m i t h , Arkansas- Said rates were designed to provide service on a message rate basis whereby sa'ch subscriber for mobile telephone service would be charged for each cal l placed over the system.

On March 1, 1965, the Commission received for f i l i n g a new set of tariffs covering mobile telephone service on a flat rate basis, with the request tkt they be permitted to withdraw the t a r i f f f i l e d on February 2, 1965, w i t h the further request that the tariff being f i l e d on March 1, 1965, be permitted to become effective on March 4, 1965.

The Oommission has examined the said filings, and based upon the reasons s e t forth in the letters covering the f i l i n g s , the Commission believes and so finds that the public interest will n o t be adversely affected to allow said tariffs to become effective as of March 4, 1965
