This Case stems from a camplaint f i l e d by 25 residents of Qlumbia County, Arkansas, whereby it is requested South- western Bell Telephone Company be ordered to provide service in a rural area to the west of Southwestern Bell's Magnolia Exchange

Southwestern B e l l , in its Answer to the binplaint , stated that it was in the process of reconstructing To13 Poll Line No. 600 and thereby extending its faci l i t ies to the area in question. It is s t a t e d that this project would be completed by July I, 1965, and t h a t thereafter Southwestern B e l l would be able to seme Complainants without payment of a construc- t i o n charge.

Based on the statements in Bell's Answer and w i t h concurrence of Complainant's attorney, the Commission has held this matter in abeyance. The Commission is now advised that the construction work has been completed and that a11 of the complainants are being provided w i t h telephone service.

Based on the above, the Commission finds #at this contro- versy has been resolved.

Order dated May 27, 1965 granted authority as follows:

1. The interconnection of Hale's mobile radio faci l i t ies w i t h the exchange and t o l l fac i l i t ies of Bell and i t s connecting carriers in L i t t l e Rock, Arkanss, is hereby approved subject to the requirements and conditions t ha t follow,

2. Such interconnection shall be provided in the manner stated in the parties' Petition of May 27, 1965, requesting authorization for interconnection and in accordance with the terms and conditions s e t forth in the parties' contract dated May 18, 1965.

3 . Hale s schedule of charges for interconnected messages shall be that stated in the proposed "Schedule of Rates and Charges for Interconnected Service" submitted w i t h the parties' Petition and set out above, w h i c h schedule is hereby approved.

4. Neither Hale nor Bell shal l make any changes in the interconneciton arrangements approved herein without pr ior authorization of this Commission.

CERTIFICATE It is hereby certified by the Arkansas Public Service Commission to the Federal Power Cormnission that the Arkansas P u b l i c Service Commission has regulatory jurisdiction over the rates, service and fac i l i t i e s of Arkansas Louisiana Gas Company in the State of Arkansas, specif ical ly including the Helena pipeline' system consisting of approximately 40 miles of 12 inch gas pipeline extending from a point near Helena to a point near the town of Forrest C i t y , Arkansas, together w i t h approximately 48 miles of 3 inch, 4 inch and 6 inch gas pipelines extending to distribution plants in Forrest C i t y , mldwell, C o l t , Wynne, Palest ine, Wheatley, Brinkley, and Cotton Plant and rural customers adjacent thereto; and further that the Commission has jurisdiction over the rates for and terms and conditions of service of transportation of natural gas by Arkansas Louisiana Gas Company €or Arkansas Power and Light Corrtpany
