GP-0002-11-12 SUBJECT: APPROVAL OF NEW UPC CODE FOR NEW POSITION RESOLVED, that the Board of Education, upon recommendation of the Superintendent, is approving a new UPC Code for a position of a Special Education 7th grade teacher at Wallace School due to new enrollment. RESOLUTION NO. GP-0014-11-12 SUBJECT: APPROVAL OF MERIT BONUS FOR SUPERINTENDENT UPON FINAL REVIEW OF THE HUDSON COUNTY EXECUTIVE SUPERINTENDENT RESOLVED, that the Board of Education, according to Article IV of the Superintendent’s contract, hereby approves merit bonuses based on the Superintendent’s achievement of certain qualitative and quantitative criteria outlined in his employment contract and previously approved by the Board of Education and the Executive County Superintendent. Prior to payment of any bonuses, the Board of Education further approves submission to the Executive County Superintendent that the qualitative and quantitative criteria has been met and shall await confirmation from the Executive County Superintendent in advance of any payment of merit bonuses. RESOLUTION NO. GP-0019-11-12 SUBJECT: APPROVAL FOR THE SENIOR ART STUDENTS AND MS. MICHELLE ISING TO COMPLETE A MURAL PROJECT AT 8TH AND CLINTON STREETS, THE FORMER BREAD FACTORY LOCATED DIRECTLY ACROSS FROM THE HIGH SCHOOL RESOLVED, that the Board of Education, upon recommendation of the Superintendent, approves the Senior Art Class to paint a complete mural project at 8th and Clinton Streets. The work will take place during Ms. Michelle Ising’s senior art classes. This project will begin in April, 2012. The building’s owner, Mr. Maximo Rodriguez and his representative Mr. Colin King would like to have a partnership with Hoboken High School to paint positive images that relate to the school on the factory’s walls. All materials will be provided by Mr. Maximo Rodriguez. RESOLUTION NO. Whereas, the facilities of the Hoboken Charter School are not adequate for the economical preparation of lunches for school children, while the facilities of the Hoboken board of Education are adequate for such purposes, and Whereas, the school food authorities desire to implement a school meal program following the Enhanced Food Based meal planning option, Whereby the Hoboken Board of Education shall provide breakfast and lunch for service for 50 high school children and 80 elementary children in the Charter School subject to the approval of the New Jersey Department of Agriculture and provided that such program shall not impair existing allowances to either local education agency, Be it resolved, that the Hoboken Board of Education enter into a Vending Agreement for the purposes of providing breakfast and lunch services for the Hoboken Charter School for the 2011-2012 school year. RESOLUTION No. GR-0002-11-12 SUBJECT: PARTICIPATION AS APPLICANT IN NCLB TITLE III CONSORTIUM WITH EAST NEWARK SCHOOL DISTRICT RESOLVED, that the Hoboken Board of Education approves participation in NCLB Title III Consortium with East Newark School District. No Child Left Behind Title III provides that districts receiving less than $10,000 in any individual Title III program must join as a participant in a Consortium with a host district as applicant. The Title III allocations to each school district are as follows:
