MissionUniversity Foundation of Health Sciences is an institution of higher education, which assumes responsibility for the formation of the student, in the fields of science, research, technology and humanities; with fundamentals of academic excellence, ethical sense, social and scientific, led by a highly qualified team; in order to allow objective and rational analysis community problems and help improve their quality of life.

The Fundación Universitaria de Ciencias de la Salud (FUCS), develops its activities in the fields of science, technology, humanities, art and philosophy, framed in the ongoing pursuit of knowledge through the discovery and interpretation of facts, the revision of theories and laws accepted by the scientific world, which can be modified by presenting new evidence, and the constant study of nature. All of this in search of a broader control of reality, application of scientific principles to meet specific needs, guided by respect for human dignity, the protection of their rights and welfare. To achieve this, it focuses on the study of the apparition of man and his environment, in the evaluation and development of his political and philosophical ideas, as well as his artistic expression in the various moments of the life cycle.

Our activities are Characterized by the commitment and dedication to accountability, efficiency and effectiveness in carrying out the duties and tasks acquired in the institution.

We stand for honesty , transparency and honesty, taking into account the rules of good conduct and justice.

Dear FUCS community, during 2019 we worked as a team getting closer to the vision projected for the year 2020: to be the most recognized Higher Education Institution in Colombia for the training of human resources at the health sector, the quality of its graduates, the academic excellence and for its contributions to research.

This work was reflected in excellent results such as obtaining high-quality institutional accreditation, offering new programs, designing our Strategic Development Plan 20-25 and many other achievements that we want to represent in figures and data, putting them in your knowledge through this statistical bulletin.

5th National Meeting of Health Sciences - Research

Seedlings

Universities are great generators of knowledge, not only because they train the professionals of the future but because they are the cradle of research and studies that lead to significant advances for humanity. Hence, lies the importance of the 5th edition of the National Meeting of Health Sciences Research Seedlings, led by the FUCS, and it was developed in the Great Hall of the Cube (Colsubsidio) in Bogota.

A total of 59 educational institutes of 21 cities of the country participates, to which 469 papers (research) were sent from 112 academic programs, with the important participation of professor doctor, and scientist Rodolfo LLinas, as well as Dr. Alejandro Gaviria – former Health Minister and Rector of Andes University.

2019The Fundación Universitaria de Ciencias de la Salud - FUCS and AFIDRO sign an alliance to support the strengthening of Health Human Talent, creating a training course for rural doctors

The Fundación Universitaria de Ciencias de la Salud – FUCS and the Association of Pharmaceutical Research and Development Laboratories (AFIDRO) signed an alliance to support the strengthening of Health Human Talent, which will train rural doctors. This agreement will be carried out through the Obligatory Social Service Induction Course – SSO which will be implemented in 2020 for the first SSO SSO, which is equivalent to approximately 1.500 professionals.

We are institutionally accredited in high quality

1ra Dominguine Health University fair in Cucuta

The National Ministry of Education accepted the recommendations of the CNA and institutionally accredited the Fundación Universitaria de Ciencias de la Salud FUCS, for 4 years.

Through the resolution 013601 of last December 9, the ministry constituted the FUCS into the eighth university institution to obtain this recognition.

As part of the 70th anniversary of the school Gimnasio Domingo Savio and in Alliance with the Fundación Universitaria de Ciencias de la Salud – FUCS, on October 23 and 24 the first Dominguine Health University Fair was held and the inauguration of the first thematic hospital for children in the North of Santander.

2019Hospitalito FUCSOpening

We are very proud to present the inauguration of the first Thematic Hospital for Children in the North of Santander, the “FUCS Hospitalito ” situated in our sister institution the Gimnasio Domingo Savio School. This is a space specially designed for didactic learning in health sciences oriented to Cucuta children, a marvelous project that transforms realities and inspires the dreams of each of these children.
