Tour of America’s Dairyland circuit cycles into city, UW-Oshkosh June 26

Approximately 1,000 cyclists and hundreds more spectators are expected to wheel into Oshkosh for an all-day series of races on Thursday, June 26. The races will lace through the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh as part of the Tour of America’s Dairyland (TOAD). High Ave. and Algoma Blvd. — between Woodland and Osceola Streets — will close from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. and transform into a spectator-lined race course. A series of races will run throughout the day, featuring nationally and internationally competitive cyclists and fi rst-time racers.

The “Oshkosh Criterium de Titan” will take place on Day Eight of the 11-day TOAD featuring the USA Cycling Juniors Road Development Race Series. The event and related activities will stage in and around the UW-Oshkosh Alumni Welcome and Conference Center.

“This is an event that Wisconsin’s Event City has never seen the likes of before,” said Christopher Yaggie, a race coordinator for the Oshkosh Criterium de Titan. “Thousands of cyclists, their families and fans will have a day’s-worth of competitive and fun bicycle racing to enjoy.

Family Night At The Leach: Touch A Truck Event – Leach Amphitheater. New “Touch a Truck” event from 4 to 8 p.m. A community festival that provides an interactive learning experience for children of all ages to explore many varieties of transportation. Our hope is to have many di� erent kinds of vehicles including police cars, tractors, dump trucks, ambulances, garbage trucks, etc. In addition the children will

be entertained with a bouncy house, balloon magic, face painting, music and much more! Following the “Touch a Truck” event we will be playing the Lego movie on our jumbo screen! Concessions will be available.

TUESDAY, JULY 15Streaming Live at The Leach: Janet Planet & Mike Murphy and the Mob – Leach Amphitheater. Janet Planet will take the stage at 6 p.m. followed by Mike Murphy and the Mob at 7:30 p.m. Gates open at 5:30 p.m. This event is free and concessions will be available.
