Max Kirchberger Our Original Workshop in New York City

Present Facility

1898 - founded as a lighting fixture house in New York City.

1910 - begins manufacturing products made from the natural stone grade lavas.

1975 - Moves to new 24,000 sq. foot facility in St. Albans, Vermont.

1985 - Changes name to Superior Technical Ceramics to reflect the technical nature of their materials.

1945 - Begins the manufacturing of wire wound resistors and appliance type ceramics.

1953 - Moves to New Jersey and introduces alumina to the product line.
