Cast

Linda Speir is so excited to have been cast in the role of Clairee. Steel Magnolias is her favorite play and Clairee her favorite role. Steel Magnolia’s is so much more than a play of one-liners that everyone is familiar with thanks to the movie. This is a story of a group of friends that dearly love each other and support each other as only women can. Life is full of heartache and joy and these women deal with it, each in her own way. They are all strong women and their bonds are like…steel. Linda has performed in various theatres in the Nashville area for 30 years. Some of her favorite roles include Aunt Abby in Arsenic and Old Lace, Monica in Bad Seed, Geneva in Christmas Belle’s, Birdie in Little Foxes, Clairee in Steel Magnolias and Mamma Wheelis in Daddy’s Dyin’ Who’s Got the Will at The Larry Keeton Theatre. “Thanks Donna for allowing me to once again be Clairee.”

Former Miss Mississippi, Kristian Dambrino, has worked as a Production Vocalist for Celebrity Cruises and as dinner theatre comedienne in Pigeon Forge, TN. Dambrino has performed with Morgan Freeman, Oprah Winfrey, Sela Ward, Faith Hill, Samuel L. Jackson, Delta Burke, Ray Romano, Jason Alexander, and Gary Morris, raising over $15 million in Hurricane Katrina relief aid. She has appeared on MSNBC, CNBC’s The Big Idea with Donny Deutsch, and CMT and recently co-wrote and released a jazz/blues album, Bluer Than This, awarded the 2017 Mississippi Institute of Arts & Letters Award for Best Contemporary Music Composition. A board-certified psychiatric nurse practitioner, Dambrino holds a Master in Music Business from Berklee College of Music (Boston, MA) and a Master of Science in Nursing from Vanderbilt University, with a BFA in Graphic Design.

This is her first show at The Larry Keeton Theatre and is thrilled that her debut is one of her dream shows. Some of Meredith's favorite credits include Silent Sky (Henrietta), Rumors (Cookie Cusack), and Proof (Claire). During the day, you can find her teaching her favorite actors at Brentwood Middle School in Williamson County. “Much love to Lee and Baby G.”
