The 78-year old Steep Falls Bridge , spanning the Saco River on Route 11, will be replaced with a new and wider bridge with a sidewalk. The $2.7 million construction project begins in April and continues through November, 2014. Within that timeframe, there will be a full closure of the current bridge beginning May 12 th and lasting through mid-November. Traffic will be detoured along Routes 11, 25 and 113 during that time. This construction work is weather dependent, so dates may change. The East Limington Bridge , which is on Route 25 and also spans the Saco River, will be rehabilitated next year with a new concrete wearing surface and joint repairs. Construction activity on the East Limington Bridge requires one-way alternating traffic for a maximum of 35 days and is expected to begin in the spring of 2015.
