Proven Performers...I've always had a deep admiration for the rugged work boats found in the Northeast. So when we began building boats under the Steiger name, we started with a rugged Modified V design that was stable on the water, easy to work and maintain, and had a level of quality that would last the test of time.

Soon, our 'work boat' Pilot House designs began to attract the attention of the fishing community and recreational boaters. They were drawn to our traditional lines, and they wanted a boat that was economical to own and run, while offering a level of quality craftsmanship that would assure enjoyable, worry-free boating.

We've always listened to our customers, and in response to this new breed of boater, we began building Deep V vessels, while adding performance and design features that would appeal to the fisherman and recreational boater.

The hull and the grid system become one piece.

All Stiegers are built using a one-piece fiberglass grid system. The grid

is hand-laid fiberglass on a mold that is built in a U-shape--creating

strength the same way a steel I-Beam creates strength--by placing

strong flat surfaces perpendicular to each other. This girder-like grid is

then fiber glassed into the hull.

All the fiberglass is hand-laid throughout the

process. We never use a chopper gun to shoot

fiberglass into voids...it just doesn’t make

fiberglass strong enough.

Due to the popularity and fuel efficiency of todays Outboards, we have been focusing a great deal of our attention to this power option, and have found that SUZUKI Outboards offer a great power option in terms of performance and reliability.

Suzuki's DF250, DF225 and DF200Suzuki's DF250, DF225 and DF200 outboards feature some of the most advanced engineering ever packed under a cowl-like digital sequential electronic fuel injection, dual overhead cams, a self-adjusting timing chain, variable valve timing (DF250), multi-stage induction for efficient airflow (DF250, DF225) and solid-state direct ignition.

THESE WINNING FEATURES add up to exhilarating performance, rock-solid reliability and range-stretching fuel efficiency. To help keep your electronics humming and the fun coming, Suzuki added a powerful 54-amp alternator and water cooled voltage regulator. Suzuki's proven 55-degree block and offset driveshaft makes these compact motors a perfect match for all kinds of boats in single, twin and triple installations.

Suzuki's DF150 and DF175These powerful four-cylinder 4-strokes have a chip on their shoulders. Actually it's more like a block—a big-block inline power head with a class leading 174.9 cu. in. of displacement. Suzuki's DF150 and DF175 may be compact and lightweight, but they pack a heavy punch. All these cubes, together with advanced features like dual overhead cams, enhanced air intake system with multi-stage induction, variable valve timing (DF175) and sequential multi-point electronic fuel injection ensure plenty of smooth power on tap. Superior torque and powerful gearing with a 2.5:1 final drive ratio help even heavy boats jump out of the hole and quickly ac-celerate to eye-watering top speeds.
