Thats a sure sign, that the holidays are upon us! With that being said, there is bound to be lots of cooking going on in the kitchen and we want to help you get ready by sharing some festive essential oils that not only smell great when worn, but also have a robust aroma when you cook with them. The food you eat directly impacts the way you look and feel. Incorporating essential oils into your daily diet can make it easier to obtain remarkable results. So, here are a few essential oils and some fun recipes to try together. Create your own, have fun and Bon Appétit! Abundant Blessings, Karen Have you ever smelled Nutmeg essential oil? Yum, it has a sweet, warm, spicy scent similar to the spice commonly used in cooking. Comforting and soothing, nutmeg helps boost energy. Try it in your pumpkin pie. Lemon has a strong, purifying, citrus scent that is revitalizing and uplifting. Lemon consists of 68 percent dlimonene, a powerful antioxidant. It is delightfully refreshing in water and may be beneficial for the skin. Try using it in your favorite lemon recipe . Consider the warm, spicy aroma of Cinnamon Bark! Its been sought throughout the ages both as a valuable commodity and for its ability to improve wellness. Cinnamon is thought to promote healthy cardiovascular and immune function, and acts as an antiseptic. You can also use it to enhance your cooking. Black Pepper has a pungent, crisp aroma that is comforting and energizing. It is supportive of the digestive system and is useful topically for soothing muscle discomfort following exercise. Black pepper may also be used to enhance the flavor of foods. Want something sweet and spicy? Try Clove, a sweet, spicy fragrance that is stimulating and revitalizing. Its principal constituent is eugenol, which is used in the dental industry to numb the gums. Clove is the highest-scoring single ingredient ever tested for its antioxidant capacity on the ORAC scale. Ginger oil also has a warm, spicy fragrance that is energizing. Supportive of the digestive system, ginger is commonly used to soothe, comfort, and balance digestive discomfort. Aww… there has been a cool crisp feeling in the Texas air these past few days and I’m just loving it! Thats a sure sign, that the holidays are upon us! Ingredients: • organic, whole chicken • 1/2 cup coconut oil • 1/2 whole garlic bulb, peeled and crushed • 1 medium yellow onion • 1 lemon, quartered • 1/2 lime, quartered Spices: • 1 tsp. turmeric • 3/4 tsp. cumin • 1/4 tsp. sea salt • 1 tsp. rosemary or a large bunch of fresh rosemary sprigs • 1/8 tsp. black pepper or lemon pepper Young Living Essential Oils: • 3–5 drops Citrus Fresh™ essential oil blend • 3–5 drops lime essential oil

Preparation: • Heat oven to 350° Fahrenheit. Remove gizzards and goodies from the inside of the chicken. Use glass baking pan and spread with coconut oil. • Chop garlic and onion. • Combine all spices in small glass cup, add essential oils, and mix with a toothpick. • Quarter lemons and limes, squeeze over chicken. • Stuff chopped garlic, onion, lemons, and limes into the chicken. • Trickle overflow chopped items and add any optional vegetable(s) (potatoes or other favorites) around the chicken. Place extra fresh rosemary sprigs around the inside of the pan. • Baste chicken 1–3 times while baking. • Bake for approximately 1 hour 30 minutes.

Young Living Hot Apple Cider !3 Quarts Apple Cider

5 Drops Clove Oil 5 Drops Cinnamon Bark Oil

8 Drops Orange Oil 2 Drops Nutmeg Oil 2 Drops Lemon Oil !

• Allow to simmer for at least 1/2 hour, stirring often

(2 hour simmer time recommend) • Garnish with orange slices,

whole cloves and cinnamon sticks

Peppermint Double Chocolate Brownies •1 box Ghirardelli Double Chocolate brownie mix •1 egg •1/4 cup water •1/3 cup vegetable oil •3 drops peppermint essential oil !Preheat oven to 325 degrees.
