Leufen Medical offers a huge variety of self-expandable oesophageal stents with diameters of 20 and 24 mm and lengths from 60 to 140 mm. The special end design and the strong radial force keep the stents in position and avoid stent migration. All oesophageal stents are pre-mounted on the reloadable delivery system. For correction of the stent position, the stent can be charged into the delivery system during the procedure. The excellent radiopacity of the tantalum markers makes the stents clearly visible in fluoroscopy.

To cover tracheo- or broncho-oesophageal fistulas or in case of spon-taneous or iatrogenic ruptures (such as Boerhaave syndrome), Leufen Medical offers a 80, 100 and 120 mm stent with a diameter of 28 mm. The special design of the stent ends and the stable expansion force hold the stent in its foreseen position, thus preventing stent migration. The oesophagus leakage stent is pre-mounted on the new reloadable delivery system. For a precise positioning, the stent can be retracted into the delivery system during the procedure. High-seated oesophageal strictures near the transition to the pharynx require precise stent placement. The proximal to distal release and the design of the stent-ends offer the best adaption to this demand.
The upper oesophagus stent is preloaded on the delivery system for proximal release. For exact positioning, the stent is released with a thread system from proximal to distal after retracting the outer sheath. Oesophageal strictures close to the cardia require a specific stent design. The cardia umbrella stents have an umbrella designed distal end which significantly reduces irritations at the greater curvature of the stomach and prevent an in- or overgrow of tumor into the stent. All cardia umbrella stents are pre-mounted on the reloadable delivery system. For correction of the stent position the stent can be reloaded into the delivery system during the procedure. The self-expandable Nitinol stents with laser cut design are used to bridge malignant stenoses in the biliary duct. The biliary duct stents are preloaded on the TTS (through-the-scope) delivery system and are placed through the working channel of the endoscope. The delivery system is introduced into the biliary duct through the papilla under visual and x-ray control. The special laser cut design of the stent guarantees a precise handling and allows an accurate release without stent shortening. The transparent material of the delivery system allows a precise and reliable stent placement under endoscopic view. Three tantalum radiopaque markers on each stent end provide a good over-view and security for the stent release.

In some cases the retrograde approach to the biliary duct (ductus choledochus) via the papilla is not possible. To address this indication, we developed a delivery system which enables a stent placement via a percutaneous technique. A prior performed percutaneous cholangiography informes about the position and the extent condition of the stenosis in the biliary duct system. The guiding stability of the new braided delivery system guarantees a precise and reliable stent placement under endoscopic view and in fluoroscopy. The new pancreas-pseudocyst stents are used to drain liquid out of the pseudocyst into the stomach. The diabolo design of the stent prevents a migration into the stomach or the pseudocyst.The pseudocyst stents are preloaded on the new developed braided 10 French TTS (through-the-scope) delivery system and are placed through the working channel of the endoscope. The 0.021 inch single use guide wire is used to complement the new 5 French stent delivery systems for the hilum and the pancreatic duct stents. The Teflon-coating reduces considerably the frictional resistance. The high guiding stability is achieved by an inner core made of a Nitinol monofilament. The distal wire tip is formed as a flexible, atraumatic coil, which is characterized by an excellent radiopacity. The 0.021 inch guide wire is preloaded into a spiral dispenser. The lubricity of the guide wire can be further significantly improved when the dispenser is flushed with sterile saline solution and thus covering the guide wire completely with liquid.

The new y carina stent is used to bridge benign or malignant stenosis in the trachea and in the right or left bronchus. The delivery system is equipped with a one-threat mechanism for delivery. In addition to the 16 and 20 mm diameters, you can now find more configurations in 18 mm diameter with a bronchus in 12 or 14 mm. The y carina stent is preloaded on a 24 F / 8 mm delivery system. For the implantation of the y carina the use of a rigid intubation using a tracheoscope or a bronchoscope with an inner diameter of minimum 10 mm is recommended.
