STEP 1 – JOIN THE SOCIAL SPACE
STEP 2 – SIGN IN OR SIGN UP?
STEP 3 – SIGN UP FOR A YAHOO ID
STEP 4 – CONFIRMATION
STEP 5 – FIND MY GROUP
STEP 6 – JOIN THE GROUP
STEP 7 – ADD A PHOTO TO THE GROUP
STEP 8 – ADD A TITLE & DESCRIPTION TO YOUR
PHOTO
When you click on the link it will open a new tab to sign in to
Flickr or allow you to create a new Yahoo ID. If the link
doesn’t work you follow this hyperlink.
If you already have a Flickr
Account, log in using it! Enter
your ID & password and proceed
to step 6.
If you have a Yahoo account but
haven’t signed up for Flick you
can log into Flickr using your ID.
Enter your ID and password in
the boxes provided, then click
the button to sign in. Once you
have successfully singed in,
follow the instructions from step
5 to create a Flickr Account.
If you do not have a
Yahoo ID click on the
‘Create New Account’
button and follow step 3.
Scroll down the page…
Proceed to the next step by clicking on the ‘Create My Account’
button.
Enter your name into the
boxes provided. Then
choose an ID and type it into
the box, Yahoo will let you
know if it is available and
offer possible suggestions.
Choose a password between
6 and 10 characters; make
sure it contains letters and
numbers! Type it into the 1st
box & retype it into the 2nd
box below
Enter your personal
information e.g. DOB,
gender, country of residence
& postcode by overtyping in
boxes or clicking on the drop
down arrow and selecting
the correct information.
Enter your mobile number
and an alternative email
address. This will enable
Yahoo to contact you in the
event you forget your Yahoo
ID or password.
Scroll down the page….
Select a secret question for
both 1 & 2 and type in your
answers in the box below
each.
Enter the code as it appears
on YOUR screen, click ‘Done’
when you are ready to
proceed.
You should have something that looks
like this but with your own details in
the relevant boxes. Click ‘Get Started’
to continue to Flickr
Choose a Flickr screen name for
yourself and type it into the box
provided

Select the ‘Groups’ tab at the top of
your page, find ‘Search Groups’ and
select
Type ‘home building and DIY
adventures’ in to the box and click
The search will display the group I have created and it should look
like this…
In the next window confirm that you want to join the group
Click this link to join the group
Click to confirm joining
the group
Click to add a photo to the group
Click the blue hyperlinked text
Flickr will open files on your computer, select the location where
you store the photograph you want to upload, open the folder and
select the file…
Click the
‘Add’
button
Click this button when you have
selected your photo
1. Select Add to Groups, a
window will pop up.
2. select ‘Home Building and
DIY Adventures’, it should
now have a next to it.
Click the ‘Done’ button.
3. Adjust the privacy settings
to suit yourself.*
Flickr will prompt you to confirm the upload settings…
This button will flash in the top
right hand corner of the screen;
click it when you are ready to
upload your photo!
Click to
confirm
upload
Thank you for contributing to my social space!
Click to add a description to your uploaded photo.
Choose a title for your photo and
add a brief description to share
with others in the group.
When you are happy click the SAVE
button to save and publish your
changes.
