Step 1 – OzCAD Web SiteRead about the features of the student version then go to the Student Portal

Click this link to jump to the Student Portal

Step 2 – Create AccountOnce on the Student Portal, click Create an Account and enter your details

After clicking Create An Account, enter your email, choose a language and country, then click the Create button

Step 3 – Signup CompleteConfirmation that account has been created and notification email sent

Step 4 – Receive EmailReceive notification email then use link and password to confirm account

Step 5 – Login and ConfirmSee confirmation of account creation then login with email and password

Step 6 – Update InfoEnter all your information but DON'T enter your old serial number

Do Not enter a serial number here unless it was issued by the Student Portal. This means you do not need to enter your old serial number if it was purchased from OzCAD.

Step 7 – Update CompleteSee confirmation that update was successful and Request Software

If you click this option and get the mesage that there is no new software available, click Update My Account, delete the Vectorworks serial number you previously endered, then click Update. Now the Request Software link will work.

Step 8 – Request SoftwareUpload Student ID and choose download or serial number only

Note: Student ID's are required for verification. Only in exceptional circumstances will alternative forms of verification be accepted.

Step 9 – Get 30 Day No.Software request approved, receive 30 day serial number and download links

This is your temporary 30 day serial number

Step 10 – Install Software

If you have downloaded the software or borrowed the installation disk from your library or lecturer, run the installer then enter your details and temporary serial number to complete the installation. If you have already received your 12 month approval email, login to the Student Portal to get your 12 month serial number, then use this for the initial installation.

You are now ready to begin using Vectorworks.

Step 11 – Get Approval EmailReceive confirmation email that your application is approved

Step 12 – Get 12 Month No.Login to Student Portal and obtain your 12 month serial number

Step 13 – Enter 12 Month No.Replace temporary 30 day serial number with 12 month one

Step 14 – Process Complete

Vectorworks should now continue to run for 12 months, provided you have a regular internet connection. If you are still a student at the end of this period, you may login to the Student Portal again using your email address and password, then request a software extension.
