Consistency in pattern and
envisioning a series of forms that
overlap to create a completely
evolved form that imitates the
movement notations.
The model was created with dow-
el models exactly as the notation
drawing above and oriented in a
way that created a visual move-
ment without actually moving,
and then connecting them.

Phase II
This is phase II of the Mov-
ing Sculpture project, where
the original X-RAY model is
cladded with museum board
to create surfaces. These
surfaces are to allow the form
to have a structural quality, all
while maintaining the illusion
of movement.

Phase III
The space is intended for the
rituals EATING, SLEEPING, AND
BATHING. Located offshore
and above the water, requir-
ing water transportation for
access. The linear organization
of space is based off the idea
of elevated ground plane. The
movement throughout the
space suggests a linear fluidity
and continuity that is relative to
the oceanic setting; the planes
are arranged in an elongated,
linear pattern.
All spaces are framed by CAGE-
LIKE STRUCTURES, providing
stability in an unstable environ-
ment and also the dowels are
creating angled wall planes
to separate different parts of
the house. In addition, the
framework has continuous
dowels protruding from it,
puncturing the ground and
overhead planes, allowing
for an ocean inspired sense
of fluidity. The intense
angles allow for a balance
between organic and structural.

bookstore Location & Concept
Objective: Design and mod-
el a bookstore / retail space
and living space in an ex-
isting building, utilizing the
two levels and entrances.
Inspiration will be drawn
from phase 1 of this proj-
ect, highlighting NOTATION
DRAWING of the HUMAN
BODY, creating shapes and
orienting them in such
manner that would produce
an object that accomadates
various positions of the body.
LEAN, SIT, LAY, PERCH.
The Models and notations
to the right demonstrate the
various ways the notations
could be oriented to create
a beautiful form which suits
the desired body positions
and geometric sculptural
elements desired.
Inspiration: Industrial Jurassic by
RAAAF Architects.

The materials and the design/
shape of the pod itself is very
organic and representational of
my inspiration. The POD shape
takes for as a large salt mound.
From a distance, the pod has
a grainy visual texture derrived
from the tessellated pattern.

Netherlands
Elevations of 3D printed Salt tiles, done
in Illustrator for DSIT 103: Interior Ar-
chitecture Conceptual Design Studio.
The tiles have simple, geographic
representations of the TOPO-
GRAPHICAL landscape features
of SALT MOUNDS in the Nether-
lands. The Netherlands is half
below sea-level, so there is an
abundance of salt and moisture
that goes into the landscapes.
AGRIPODElevations
SALT MOUNDS are very sparat-
ic and unpredictable when it
comes to form, shape, color,
land ocation. The mounds
in the Netherlands are what
inspired this AgriPod shape and
tile design. The geometric extru-
sions represent the mounds and
their size and the holes in each
of the tiles represent the general
shape of a mound at its base.

The ELONGATED original design
create a tunnel-like structure in
which people can walk through
or occupy in the area in between
the open atrium. Structure is to be
made from 3D PRINTED METAL
with perforations, and have various
colored tube lights within the “tree
trunks” for illumination.
The design challenge was to create
a space within the student union at
SJSU that is utilized by the exsting
students and uses, in it’s dining,
study and transportation hall. The
existing architecture has to be co-
hesive with the design. The design
drew inspiration from TREE ROOTS
that drape or create a CANOPY.

SJSU GALAStructural Section
The ANNOTATED SECTION provides
clear insight into its intended use
and how it functions as an art
installation/design. These hollow
tree trunks, conjoined to create
a canopy allow a unique experi-
ence to be had, especially at night
when the structure can be in full
illumination. The design allows
for indirect connections between
people and creates a mood that
any event could call upon.
Instead of a dining space, I designed
a structure that was meant to be
walked through like a tunnel or
mingled within. This 3D printed
metal structure is meant to be
enjoyed and set a mood. Each
“tree trunk” have a hollow core and
are meant to be perforated with
glowing lights shining through and
giving the existing space in which it
is located, a different aesthetic.

DESIGNER PROFILE
Born and raised in San Jose, CA,
attended a local montessori
school, and then Willow Glen
Middle and High School. I have
always drawn and painted
abstract, colorful things and
really fell in love with abstract
expressionist art, so I made sure
I was always enrolled in an art
class. I had dreams of becom-
ing an artist my entire life, but
it was not until my junior year
of high school that I dreamt of
becoming a designer.
As I progress in my interior
design studies, I am realizing my
strengths and design aesthetic
that make me unique. Having
ambition and a desire to succeed
in what I want for myself as I
mature is what is driving me to
push myself and my designing
capabilities further.
Since I am interested in various
art and design fields, I have taken
electives such as film produc-
tion, color, sculpture, and 2D Art.
These classes furthered my skills
and provided me with additional
knowledge that is not offered spe-
cifically in my BFA Interior Design
major. I wish to apply all that I have
learned from my art and design
classes and my future projects.
