Published by the Remodelers Council of Lincoln • January 2013 • Vol. 16, No. 1 • Editor Jennie Korth Chairperson’s Message by Jeff Bielenberg I hope everyone had a very merry and blessed Christmas experience with your families and friends. We enjoyed the Christmas Eve candlelight ser vice and fellowship and catching up with our own families. Many of you are probably planning to stay up late to ring in the New Year, and now that 2013 is almost here, I hope all of us are able to achieve those new resolutions and have enough work to start the year off right. We are going to continue The Best-of-The Best this year. We hope everyone has enough time to enter. You’ll be able to enter your projects from as far back as 2011. Hopefully this year’s economy will give more people the ability to secure the necessar y financing to implement those long awaited projects as their family’s needs have changed over the years. I’m hoping our members, as well as their clients, will be able to continue to show their design results. Remodeling is always about creating functionality, as well as inviting spaces, whether they’re outside or inside. Good luck to all of you, and remember your entries are all needed. It’s fun to see how others imaginations make enjoyable experiences for all who enter those spaces. As a reminder, starting Januar y 2, the City of Lincoln’s Department of Building and Safety will change its public counter hours to 8 am to 4 pm, Monday through Friday. OSHA’s Fall Protection rules that were supposed to go into full effect December 15, 2012 have been extended again to March 15, 2013. So, a little more time for all of us to get our acts together!
