HOW DOES YOUR MEDIA PRODUCT RELATE TO THE CONVENTIONS OF REAL MEDIA PRODUCTS?

The genre of our film ‘Two Face’ is a mix between a drama and a thriller. Our film follows the life of Hugh Hickman an young normal person who is introduced to a highly addictive video game. Without realising he instantly becomes addicted and slowly it takes over his life until all he seems to have time for is the game. His girlfriend finally confronts him about her being neglected and Hugh lashes out and assaults her for interfering with him and the game.

Hugh realises he has a problem and decides to see a therapist about his severe addiction however, Hugh does not know that the therapist he sees is his biggest rival in the game.

One of the key relations to the drama genre our film has is that our film collaborates with the genre thriller showing that our film like other real drama films is not only a complete drama but can have other genre tie into it.

Narrative :In terms of the thriller aspects, our film follows two goals. One of the two goals is that the therapist gets Hugh to stop playing in order to become the world number 1 on the game. Whereas Hugh's goal is to stop playing in order to get his girlfriend back.

In terms of the drama aspects our film a deep and intense social interaction between Hugh and his girlfriend Gemma. Our film also involves realistic characters and situations.

I believe our film also fulfils the purpose of moving the audience emotionally in terms of our storyline

Characters :Our main character is unsuspecting and unknowing of the therapists goal and who he is. Our film portrays the journey of a characters development.

Our film also follows issues that only relate to teenagers. Video game problems in todays world occur mostly in young ages and this therefore has a key relation to the disequilibrium in our film. Music Our film has slow suspenseful music that envelopes the audience into the film. It also creates a mysterious background to the story and adds to the emotion of our film bringing the emotion more to life towards the audience.

CameraWe use a lot of handheld camera movement in our film. We do this in order to create more excitement, suspense and make the scene be portrayed as a realistic event.

CostumeThese two characters (Hugh and Adam) Are dressed in street wear clothing showing to the audience that they are young and immature. This specific screenshot is from the beginning of our film where Adam (Character on the right) presents Hugh with the video game. So not only does their clothing represent their age group but their subject matter also does as well.

CostumeOur other character (Gemma and David) throughout the film are dressed in smart clothing showing the audience that they are both mature and perhaps older than the other characters.
