・ Shaft diameters D for stopper bolts STBG and puller bolts PBTN ( X P.1013) are identical and can be used in combination. When using a D20 stopper bolt, use it together with a D20 puller bolt.

・ Allows adjustment of friction between the base plate and resin sleeve by tightening/loosening the tapered bolt.・ Made of a high grade nylon (PA66), this parting lock features

excellent corrosion and heat resistance properties. The resin sleeve by itself has heat resistant temperature of 150°C. But use it at 80°C or less because the durability will reduce due to tightening stress by the tapered bolt in the practically continuous use.

■ Features

・ Embed the resin sleeve about 3mm in the movable side die plate.

・ Create a hole on the fixed side die plate and finish it so that its internal surface roughness finishes within the range

between 0.21.6 ~ .

Also make sure to R-chamfer the inlet edge-the parting lock's durability becomes lower with a C-chamfered edge.・�As to the hole's dimensional tolerance, aim at creating a

H7 reamer hole for PL10, and a H7 reamer hole +0.1 for PL13/16/20.

・�These R-chamfering and surface polishing processes can be omitted by using a PLBS bushing that is specially designed for use with this parting lock.

・�The required tension can be obtained by adjusting (tightening/loosening)the lock's tapered bolt.

V Do not lubricate this parting lock. Lubrication reduces its friction force and nullifies its function.

Heat resistance … Compared with conventional products (PL) whose resin sleeves have heatproof temperature of 80°C, PLH can be used under temperature up to 120°C.

Wear resistance … Because even force is applied in vertical direction through special bolt and ring, the center of resin sleeve is smoothly expanded, thus reducing the generation of abrasion powder.

Interchangeability … PLH can be replaced with molds for which conventional products are used.

Typical usage … The number of parting locks and mold weight for each size are equal to those of conventional products.

is lower than that of conventional products, so keep the once

tightening amount within 1/4 turn during operation.

■Structure and Usage

(Note 1) Coil spring for MPLK10. ・Mount it in parallel to the parting line.・�The roller lock set can be removed by pulling it in

the direction of arrow in the figure.

・ Enables well-balanced mold opening/closing through its mechanism composed of a belleville spring, internal rollers and lock rollers.

・ Its rollers prevent uneven wear.・ The lock bushing's vertically symmetrical design allows a worn

piece to be reused by reinstalling it in reverse.・ The lock holder's back recess enables it to be used even on a

stepped mold plates.・ For heat proof type, the adjusting bolt differs from standard type

for identification. (Standard type: black oxide Heat proof type: Trivalent Chromate)

Roller Lock Set Features

Load Adjustment and Load Characteristics

・ Opening/closing load can be adjusted using an Allen wrench. The load is maximum when the adjustment bolt is fully tightened, 50% when it is loosened a half rotation, 0 when it is loosened 1 rotation or more. ※ For MPLK10, the load decreases about 25% when the adjustment bolt is loosened a half rotation, 70% when it is loosened one rotation.

・ The load for mold closing is about 50% of mold opening.・ A fixing screw is provided on the load adjustment bolt.

Loosen it to perform load adjustment, and make sure to tighten it after adjustment is completed.

Note: Make sure to assemble the right and left units symmetrically for well balanced operation.

About slim bushings

・ For roller lock set slim bushings, the height of lock bushing (A dimension) is standardized as 24mm.The one side of molding base installation board is a standard corresponding to the amount of protrude 25mm.

・ When mold is installed in the molding machine, the part where roller lock set protrudes interferes in the tie bar. It becomes the damage prevention of roller lock set and the tie bar. Moreover, there is no trouble in keeping and transporting.

・ Although the heights of bushings (A→24, t1→15.5) become lower, the load and other dimensions remain the same as conventional products.

■Features・ When molding products are long or deep (such stationery or

cosmetics) and the tension chains are used, making recess on the plates is not required when the molds are closed.

■Note・ Installation of tension chain holder onto the plate should be done

by using bolt special for tension chains (LKB X P.1036) and with 3mm counterbore on the plate in order to prevent bolt screw

damage.

・ Install at 4 points on the mold side when molding.(Do not install in vertical direction.)

・ Please be careful about swing, sagging and damage in using chains.

・ If positioning of chain holder is shifted, load concentrates on one chain and may cause damage.
