STOP MOTION ANIMATION

Page 2: Stop motin

STOP MOTIONSTOP MOTION Stop motion (also known as stop action) is

an animation technique to make a physically manipulated object appear to move on its own.

The object is moved in small increments between individually photographed frames, creating the illusion of movement when the series of frames is played as a continuous sequence.

Clay figures are often used in stop motion for their ease of repositioning. Motion animation using clay is called clay animation or clay-animation.

ANALYSING: WALLACE AND GROMIT 1980WALLACE AND GROMIT 1980

The characters are shown untreatable although not that clear when talking which is very bad from quality.

Sound didn’t match the characters lips as today’s stop motion animation does. The props and equipment could be improved.

The movements of the characters are not clear (timing), one thing that went good with this animation was the sound.

The quality got slightly better by using Lego although no face up imaging.

The characters are shown slightly more clearer if you don’t include the hands, what makes it not realistic is that every character is the same height.

Animation was used a lot better then as you can see the explosion, the timing went well although their should have been a background to make it more realistic.

ANALYSING: MORPH: CARD TRICK 2010MORPH: CARD TRICK 2010

The background was more clearer as well as the character a bit, also the movements where more clearer.

The objects where more used and were more clearer other from the two examples.

The expression in the characters faces where more clear as body gesture was included also the time expanded, what I liked was the use of items.
