What We Need To Do Research and watch tutorials on how to make
a stop motion movie Create stop motion movies Research stop motion
movies Research the relations of stop motion and STEM.

Bad Example https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h6SuXO meuPk
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h6SuXO meuPk This is an example of
a bad stop motion video because they did not keep the camera still
so each frame is from a different view point. They also used larger
movements in between frames and then would do small movements so
the video was inconsistent.
Slide 4
Good Example https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9NZ11Hh4LP4 This
is a good stop motion video because it has a theme or message, has
still frames so the camera is not moving, and it has the right
amount of frames to look good, but also keep the stop motion
qualities.
Slide 5
Stop Motion Movies The Nightmare Before Christmas This is a
1993 stop motion film that contained 227 different puppets and
around 400 heads for the main character Jack. This film took over
three years to make and was a big success.
Slide 6
Fantastic Mr. Fox Fantastic Mr. Fox was a hit stop motion movie
from 2009. They based all the puppets and characters on drawings by
Flicie Haymoz, a Belgian character designer. They used 12 frames
per second to make the movie good quality but also so that people
could notice the stop motion qualities. Stop Motion Movies
Slide 7
Chicken Run This is a 2000 French-British-American stop motion
animation comedy. This movie took 4 months to produce, and used
about 4 tons of plasticine. This movie used about 1,440 frames and
was 95 minutes long. Stop Motion Movies
Slide 8
How to Make a Stop Motion Movie You set up a scene to create a
movie for stop motion You take pictures, moving the objects or
characters a tiny bit each time You save the picture and add them
into the Frames software You use Frames to set up your movie,
adding music, text, speed, etc.
Slide 9
Our First Stop Motion Film
Slide 10
Our first video was of a snake like creature turning into legs
to walk. We used about 25 pictures to create this film. We used
Frames to add a background, a song, and the speed of the
transformations between frames. We imported the video from the
frames software to a video. Here we added a title to our slide by
creating a text box and changed the writing. Here we added music to
our work with the software's sound file and trimming it to our
desired length.
Slide 11
Our Second Stop Motion Film
Slide 12
We took 112 photos to create this film. We used frames to add
music, create shorter transition times, delete unneeded pictures,
and make a film using pictures. We had to import all of our photos
into Frames and then went through all the photos and deleted the
ones that we didnt need.
Slide 13
What We Learned We learned how to make a good stop motion video
using many images. We learned the features that make a stop motion
video high quality versus a low quality video. We learned how to
use Frames to create a stop motion video. We learned how the
professionals create a stop motion movie.
Slide 14
Our Collaboration Our Collaboration was better than
orientation. The work still wasnt split evenly. We are talking
about what our ideas were.
