Stop MotionIdeas workshop
What were we doing before half term?
TodayYou are going to generate ideas for a stop motion animation, beginning the planning process and thinking about how we can break down an idea into its individual components.
By the end of today, you
OMUST create an engaging idea for a stop motion animation with a group of your peers
OSHOULD begin to generate a creative idea for a stop motion animation independently
OCOULD identify ways to build upon your initial idea through feedback
Lets remind ourselves about stop motion techniques
What is pixilation?
What are the benefits of producing a stop motion
animation?
What type of animation is this?
What are the benefits of found-object animation?
What do we call this type of animation?
How easy is it to produce claymation?
How many images do we have to photograph for 1 second of animation?
Today
Idea generation can be difficult
O What different ways can we come up with ideas?
Idea generation can be difficult
brainstorms Group workresearch
TodayO Working in small groups you need to come
up with an idea for a stop motion animation.
O You will be given a style, client and format and will have to develop an idea that meets these needs.
O You will have 20 minutes to develop that idea, then you will need to pitch it to the group!
What do I want?O Creative, original ideas!
O A clear understanding of what will happen in the animation!
O Good descriptive language that makes the idea come alive!
O Good use of pitching techniques!
Lets put you in groups…
