WHO A R E T H E YOUNG COMMUNISTS?

A clearly written booklet dealing with the hideous robbery of youth by the American boss class. Destroys the illusions injected into young workers' heads through the press, schools, movies and radio. 1 . THat unemployment and social insurance be given to all unemployed workers, to be paid by the government and the capitalist class.

2. That the 3 9 0 m i l l i o n dollars war appropriations be given, instead, to the unemployed young workers. The funds now used for training the youth for war, the R . O . T . C . and C . M . T . 3. That all city, state and federal buildings (armories, public auditoriums, etc.) be used as shelters for the homeless youth. These places to be under the management of committees of the youth themselves.

Young Workers Students Farmers JOIN T H E ORGANIZATION OF YOUR CLASS!

Sledge hammer blows against the working-class youth. Millions of youth in the factories robbed through wage-cuts of their measly pay. Young workers are fired first from the industries. Students graduate from school onto breadlines. Negro youth singled out for attacks. A whole generation of youth are being cut off from all employment. A million or more on the roads. Starvation, torment and pain, the wages of toiling youth under capitalism.

The boss class knows no limits in its greed. Not a penny to relieve the suffering of the unemployed youth, but millions are being spent to militarize them. War with its horrible brutalities and murder of the working youth, is the order of the day for Wall Street.

But the working class is answering. Thousands of adult and young workers in Chicago forced the city to give four dollars weekly to the unemployed youth. In Pittsburgh, young workers marshalling their forces demanded and won $1.50 weekly relief. Cleveland youth receive relief after mass pressure upon the City Government. Under the leadership of the Young Communist League, young workers are breaking the spine of starvation rule.

Youth in the factories are participating in struggle against wage cuts following the lead of the Young Communist League. In Trenton, N. J . , 860 youth of the Regal Doll Co. won a 20% increase in wages. Workers of the Verona Highland Plant forced back a 15% wage cut. Under the guidance of the Communist Party, the Young Communist League has become the only leader of the toiling youth.
