S.T.R.E.A.M. HOLY NAME STYLE….

At Holy Name STEM is really STREAM as we have added Religion and the Arts which are essential in who we are and what we want to share with our students. At Holy Name our program is focused on educating the whole person so that God’s gifts may be fully developed!

SWOT Analysis:● Strengths

○ Strong foundation in technological infrastructure○ Strong track record of success with STREAM education - as

indicated by student interest in STREAM courses and success at the college and university level

○ Collaborative, committed faculty and administration○ Wind turbine on-site provides for interesting partnerships and

onsite authentic educational experiences● Weaknesses

○ Tuition driven budget; enrollment based and enrollment can fluctuate

○ Budget uncertainty from year to year as we have been unable to fund for capital projects

○ Historically we have not been marketing our STREAM offerings beyond our own students

○ Not many organized STREAM opportunities beyond our school○ Competing with other brand names in STREAM - Project Lead

○ Start to market what we do in STREAM to people beyond our school

○ Increase interest in STREAM with our current students and work to make sure all groups within the school are equally represented in STREAM courses

○ Integrate our STREAM plan with our strategic plan adopted by our Advisory Board and secure longer term funding for these programs

○ Establish relationships and partnerships with organizations who can help our students have STREAM experiences beyond the school

● Medium-Term Outcomes: At least 20% of students in STREAM courses go on to the next level class; Retain middle school students who we might lose to technology based schools; Create STREAM based co-curricular activities.
