The Events Committee is currently organising our float for the Rodeo Parade on Saturday 3rd of November. The theme for this year is 'Recycled Circus' in memory of Bobo and the prize for best float this year is $500. Given these factors, we are pulling out all stops to win the prize for BDHS. We would like to get started on the collection of materials and the creation of the items so that we have plenty of time to assemble the float. We are in need of the following items from parents:

* plastic water, milk, soda bottles and lids * suitable magazines and newspapers * Boxes - any shape or size In Bannister, Crossman and Marradong hubs we have placed a large Grace box for these items to go into. Please put any of the above items into one of the boxes.

If you have any questions please come and see Mrs Norrish, Mrs Griffiths or Mrs Bell.

Thank you for your support. Tina Griffiths, Year 4 Teacher

RODEO PARADE We have started planning our school float for the Rodeo Parade on Saturday 3 November and we need to collect a range of recycled materials to create our masterpiece. Please see the article in this newsletter from Mrs Griffiths which outlines what materials we need and start saving these items over the holiday break, ready to bring in at the start of next term. FACTION ATHLETICS CARNIVAL Congratulations to all students on the level of sportsmanship you displayed throughout the day and the way you conducted yourselves in your faction bays. Well done to Hotham Faction who were the overall winners and to the champions and runners up for each of the age groups. Special thanks to the volunteers who ran the cake stalls and canteen and to all parents for your support and cheering of all three factions. Well done Miss Borrill on organising a fantastic Faction Athletics Carnival. END OF TERM Please note that students finish for the term tomorrow, Friday 21 September. SCHOOL DEVELOPMENT DAY Please note that Monday 8 October is a School Development Day. Students return next term on Tuesday 9 October. Have a great break!! Regards
