graduation rate.
Targeted Support and Improvement (TSI) • Struggling student subgroups within any school whose performance is at
CSI schools’ levels: • Major racial/ethnic groups (including Native Hawaiian, Pacific Islander and Filipino) • Economically disadvantaged • Children with disabilities • English Learners
• Subgroups identified based on 2016-17 performance. • Subgroups will be identified as “consistently underperforming”
in Fall 2018 based on 2017-18 performance.

Strive HI 1.0 and 2.0 Strive HI 3.0 Federal requirements were supplemented to better reflect school performance and our values
Strategic Plan informs state ESSA plan, accountability system. Schools’ student success reports will be based primarily on Strategic Plan indicators
“One size fits all” indicators and reports
Opportunity for locally-selected student success measures based on schools’ academic plans to supplement shared Strategic Plan indicators.
Schools received summative ratings (performance index) and classifications of schools (e.g., Recognition, Priority)
Focus is to empower educators and communities with information for school improvement. Relevant data provided in user-friendly school reports with more detail online. Viewed as punitive, summative ratings and school classifications will be discontinued.

• Select chronic absenteeism as federally required state-selected measure of “school quality or student success” to identify schools for support, improvement.
• Report data for student subgroups of 20 or more (Hawaiian, Pacific Islander and Filipino in addition to federally required student subgroups) to spotlight equity.
