Course Description

Throughout the day, you will learn about the continuum of acute stroke care from initial diagnosis to treatment and disposition. We will follow real cases with you starting from the initial 911 call all the way through their hospital and acute rehabilitation course. Providers from the prehospital setting, Emergency Department, Neurology, Neurointervention, Neurocritical care, Pharmacy and Acute Rehab will discuss their roles in stroke care and how to improve outcomes.

Maine EMS has approved this course of 6 hours of CEH (1 ABC, 1 Assessment, 4 Medical)

Maine Medical Center is accredited by the Maine Medical Association’s Committee on Continuing Medical Education (CME) to physicians. Maine Medical Center designates this educational activity for a maximum of 7.5 AMA PRA Category 1
