Company Statement of Objectives
This company was created because we felt there is a strong demand in Texas for reliable structural engineering services. After years of working for and observing the operations of competing firms, it was evident that the quality of engineering and the client services could be vastly improved. This firm is founded on the following concepts: • Quality – This is the number one priority on every project that leaves this office. We understand
that building a reputation for an exceptional product is essential for growth and retention. KWS Structural treats each project as if it were our own, and only issues plans that we would want to build from ourselves. We have often been told that our structural drawings and plans are some of the most thorough, accurate, and complete of any firm in the area. Quality engineering saves time and money, and ensures repeat business.
• Customer Service – It seems like customer service deteriorates every year, not only in our
industry, but in all industries. We treat our clients as we would want to be treated. Good communication throughout the project keeps surprises from occurring. Our job is not done once the drawings have been sealed, and we understand the importance of responsiveness and fast document turnaround times both during design and construction.
• Personnel Selection – Only highly experienced and qualified personnel work on each project.
Employees are selected based upon knowledge, competency, productivity, and experience. All of our employees have Masters Degrees in Structural Engineering. We have also invested in the best computers and software programs in order to maximize our productivity and reduce our long-term costs. Thus, KWS Structural typically produces a superior quality product without having to pass on higher costs to our clients. We will continue to acquire the best employees and equipment to maintain this advantage.
KWS Structural offers services in the design, analysis, and investigation of steel, concrete, masonry, and wood structures. Our specialty is structural engineering for senior living facilities nationwide. Roughly 70% to 80% of the firm’s revenues each year comes from senior living projects that include Independent Living, Assisted Living, Memory Care, Skilled Nursing, Hospice, and combinations of these types. While our specialty is Senior Living, we also have significant experience providing engineering for: Churches, Hotels, Apartments, Mixed-Use, Condominiums, Corporate Headquarters, Country Clubs, Office Buildings, Retail Buildings, Gymnasiums, Schools, Health Facilities, Municipal & Government Buildings, Warehouses and Distribution Centers, and Banks.
