Working in partnership with Colchester Institute, we’ve got a set of great value discounts exclusively available to Institute students, including brand new technologies allowing you to purchase your bus ticket direct to your smart phone.

Make Travel Easy, Get the App.To help you plan every stage of your bus journey using just your phone:

Step 2 - Ensure location services are enabled in the app – just click allow when prompted.

Step 3 - From the ‘Plan’ page, click on the map to see the bus stops nearest to you.

Step 4 - Select the bus stop you require and the live bus times will appear.

Step 1 - Download or update the First Bus Travel App in your app store.

Our secure, easy to use app is now the fastest and easiest way to purchase your bus ticket, and with Colchester Institute having their own exclusive section on the app, you’ll never need a paper ticket again.

Simply download and follow our instructions in this guide to purchase yours. Make sure you have your Colchester Institute email address handy, as you will need this to access the exclusive area.

Unable to purchase your ticket via your smart phone? No problem, tickets can still be purchased directly from Colchester Institute as normal.

1. Download......the app. Just search your app store for ‘First Bus mTickets’.

2. Select......the ‘Essex Students’ area in the search bar. Click on the Colchester Institute section.

3. Enter......your email address, a validation will then be sent to your email. Once validated, then select the ticket to purchase.

4. Sign up......for an account and pay by card or Barclays Pingit.

5. Activate......your ticket just before you get onthe bus.

6. Show......the driver the ticket on your phone and off you go....the driver the ticket on your phone
