What is my project about? The effects of cytotoxic

chemotherapeutic agents on the body

How does chemotherapy effect a patient?

What are the specific cytotoxic drugs used to kill cancerous cells?

What drugs are used to prevent healthy cell damage?

Why did I choose this topic?

My elder brother was diagnosed last year with Hodgkin’s Lymphoma

I have seen him go through the treatments needed to fight this cancer

I wanted to know;

-The specific drugs used during treatment and how they work

-As well as the large number of drugs used to handle the side-effects of these cytotoxic drugs

The stages of Hodgkin’s Lymphoma and how doctors decide on each individual’s treatment

Conclusion

The cytotoxic drugs used during a patients course of treatment are very harmful to the healthy living cells of a cancer patient

This treatment is very successful in curing patients

The large number of drugs used to handle the treatment are very reliable and have proved their worth numerous times
