Part V: Requirements
V.1 – Technical Requirements
In order to provide quality therapy to our students, the following technical requirements must be followed at all times:
Internet
1. We highly recommend that your computer be connected directly to the internet with an
Ethernet cable; we ask that you do not connect to the internet through WiFi because
there is often not enough bandwidth.
2. Blackboard requires 5 Mbps download and 1 Mbps upload speeds (25 Mbps download
and 5 Mbps upload speeds are recommended for optimal use).
*Check with your internet service provider (ISP) and upgrade if necessary.
Steps to connect to internet directly:
- Connect your computer to your modem or router with an Ethernet cable
- Make sure you disable your WiFi connection; even if you are wired in, your computer will
try to access the internet through WiFi unless the connection is disabled.
