Printing “the old way”

Prior to Print Management, you would print your document by selecting “print” and then the document would be sent directly to a printer.

The new way…

• Now, you log into the computer with your WebAdvisor username and password. When you select “print” to print your document, you send it to a secure print queue. Think of it as a “waiting room” for all the print jobs sent by all the users of the system. Your print job is identified as belonging to you because you are logged in under your WebAdvisor credentials.

Print Credits

• In an effort to go green and reduce waste, STCC has implemented print management where students will be charged for printing on campus.

• For Spring 2014 and Summer 2014, students are allotted $20 in print credits per semester. If a student runs out of print credits during these semesters, all they have to do is request more by emailing [email protected].

• For Fall 2014, students will be allotted $20 in print credits. When these funds run out, students will need to add their own funds to their RamCard for printing. Funds can be added in the Student Accounts Office or via a web application that will be coming in the Fall 2014 semester

• It pays to use the Black and White - two sided option whenever possible. $20 will get you approximately 286 printed sides per semester.

• Please note, the allotted amount of print credits and cost per print are subject to change.

Helpful Hints

• Make sure you are logged in to the computer with your WebAdvisor username and password.

• Once you send a print job to the Follow Me print queue, it stays there for three days. After three days, it is automatically deleted.
