2.01 Retail Store Design Concept: The interior of Godiva Boudoir is a space that mixes Modern and Neoclassical design elements to convey a sense of exclusivity and intimate luxury. The space contains clean straight lines but also gives a break with subtle curves. Instead of feeling free to touch and experience the product of Godiva Boudoir the store gives a “museum” feeling with closed off fixtures. The space relates to the current Godiva brand by using chocolate, ivory and gold colors, which are Godiva's brand colors. The
textures of the space are also inspired by Godiva's smooth chocolate taste. The furniture and fixtures basic design uses the modern aspect but the detailing on these pieces show off
the neoclassical design aspect.

Concept
The renovation of Quigley Hall in Carbondale, IL is essential for the School of Architecture at Southern Illinois University in order for designers to educate, learn, and create well. There are three key components in a designer's life; education, comprehension and implementation. Instead of these components working in sequence as stages it is important that they blend together for optimal collaboration.
This blending will be achieved by creating spaces to bring together educators, students and professionals and by providing opportunity for the blending of roles. This will be implemented by creating new space types that supports educators, students and professors all at the same time. The concept of blending will be shown in shape, form, textures and colors. The renovation of Quigley Hall will create a new approach to education in the School of Architecture at Southern Illinois University.
