BAMMC-STUDENTS: ADMISSION TO CAND.MERC/MSC
Exchange is possible, but ask yourself: Is going on exchange more important to you, than a guarentee that you
can be admitted to Cand.merc/MSc-programmes?
Before you apply for exchange at
AU/Aarhus BSS
Contact your Student Counsellor and AU Admission
They can explain what your options are and clarify the rules concerning
supplementing your degree with additional courses. This is expecially relevant, in case
the courses you take during exchange does not qualify you for admission to
Cand.merc/MSc.
Once you have been admitted to the
host university
Try to choose courses that will qualify you for admission to Cand.merc/MSc
• 5 ECTS ‘Managerial Economics & Operations Management’ and
• 10 ECTS ‘Accounting & Finance’ and
• 15 ECTS ‘Business Administration’
Please note: Courses abroad will most likely not be offered in 5 ECTS or 10 ECTS, but in
4 ECTS, 6 ECTS or 7.5 ECTS.
After semester start at the host
university
Ask AU Admssion to assess the courses you will take during your exchange semester.
Please note: You can only do this between 1/9 and 1/12. By the time you have
confirmation it will most likely be too late to change courses at the host university.

Study Portal).
• Transcript of Records: Only relevant if you haven’t received any grades from Aarhus

COURSE SELECTION FORM
What is it?
• It is a list of courses that you may wish to take during your exchange semester
• It is not a binding application for pre-approval
What is the purpose?
The purpose is to ensure that you only apply for universities that offer courses relevant to you.
How to complete the form?
• Find courses on the host university webpage. There may be a link in AU GO or try Google.
• ”The easy way”: See already pre-approved courses in AU GO.
• You may not be able to see any courses in AU GO. This is not a bad sign – the agreement may be
new!

DO YOU STUDY HA/BSCB OR CAND.MERC/MSC?
.... A few technical issues with AU GO….. Because of this you cannot search for your degree programme in AU GO and must instead
use the lists on your Study Portal:

Q: What are the most popular destinations? (Popular = high GPA)
A: Changes from year to year – you never know, so just apply

test is required, you have to sign up for a test in January/February.
Q: The university I want to apply to has a GPA requirement of 7. My GPA is only 6.9. Can I
still apply?
A: NO. The GPA is decided by the host university.
Q: I want to go to the UK. What happens to my Erasmus grant in case of Brexit?
A: Nobody knows. But all students who do not get an Erasmus grant, will get an Aarhus BSS

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS (FAQ)
Q: Are the courses listed in AU GO the only courses availble at the host university?
A: No. The courses in AU GO are just courses which have been pre-approved for other
students the past couple of years. It is not a final list of available courses and there is no
guarentee that these specific courses will be availble when you go on exchange.
Q: Why are there no courses listed in AU GO for my study programme?
A: Maybe it’s a new university or maybe you are the first student going from your degree
programme.
Q: How do I find out, who is going to the same university as me?
A: You will receive an email or be invited to a Facebook group. In March you will also have
the opportunity to meet everyone in person at the International Exchange lounge.
