Who is this bloke ?
• I’m Head of Geography at a school in Norfolk• I serve on the Geographical Association’s Secondary Committee, and have acted as a consultant with people such as the BBC, Teachers TV, The Guardian, Dorling Kindersley, BECTa etc.• I run the ‘GeographyPages website’, which some of you may be familiar with• I’ve been invited to speak at SAGT for the last 3 years – maybe some of you heard me before ?• I’ve just written my first book – I’ll sign your copy if you buy one next year.• The SAGT committee thought it might be nice for you to see what I presented at the Royal Geographical Society a couple of weeks ago.

NINGS
1. They can be set up as private networks so that you can choose who joins your network and control what they can do.
2. You can use them at school whereas other social networking sites are filtered out….
3. They’re ‘my favourite price’…
3 big differences with Nings:
So far…
Benefits
• Closed environment
• Allows upload of documents after lesson
• Encourages a learning community to develop
Another alternative…Google Aps…
So, the exam is getting closer
Everything’s where you can easily find it…
Were you paying attention ?One of these images was not used as a background in the presentation – which one ?
