The STX835 combines theperformance of a subwoofer-equippedsystem with single-enclosure ease ofuse. The dual slot-loaded 2226H 360mm (15 in) patented Vented GapCooled™ woofers deliver impressivelow-frequency extension without a sub.The mid-range is covered by JBL’spatented CMCD™ Cone MidrangeCompression Driver™ technologyusing a 2169H 203 mm (8 in) driver.The CMCD design provides very lowmidrange distortion, increasedsensitivity, extended bandwidth andimproved phase coherence. The multi-band, Progressive Transition waveguideassembly also hosts a 75 mm (3 in)voice coil 2432H compression driver.

For applications requiringsuspension, the enclosure is fitted withtwelve M10 suspension points.

The enclosure is constructed of topquality birch/poplar laminate plywoodand coated in JBL’s rugged DuraFlex™finish. The attractive CNC-machined,14-gauge steel grille wraps around thesides of the enclosure so there are noprotruding lips on the front of the boxto create acoustical interference. Thegrilles are internally lined withacoustically transparent foam to provideadditional driver protection and give avery professional appearance.
