Discover Scuba Diving: FJ$205 pp
Have you always wondered what it’s like to breathe underwater? If you want to try scuba diving, but aren’t quite ready to take the plunge into a certification course, Discover Scuba Diving (DSD) is for you. Paradise Dive Shop offers this program in our resort swimming pool and from our private marina. While not a scuba certification course, Discover Scuba Diving is a quick and easy introduction to what it takes to explore the underwater world and allows you to dive with our PADI professional during your Paradise vacation. You must be at least 10 years old. No prior experience with scuba diving is necessary, but you need to be in reasonable physical health. A DSD will teach you the basic safety guidelines and skills needed to dive under the direct supervision of a PADI Professional. You will be making an open water dive and you’ll practice a few more skills in the Resort pool to prepare for your adventure. You will be-come familiar with the scuba equipment you use to dive and how easy it is to move around underwater with your gear. You will find out what it’s like to breathe underwater. You will learn key skills that you’ll use during every scuba dive. You will have fun swimming around and exploring underwater.
2 hour basic introduction to scuba diving includes 1 open water dive. This course allows you to dive in Paradise with your instructor
PADI Open Water Course FJ$1095 pp
To enroll in a PADI Open Water Diver course you must be 10 years old or older. You need adequate swimming skills and must be in good physical health. No prior experience with scuba diving is required. Academics: the PADI program is designed so that you can learn the academics during your stay in Paradise. Equipment: You will learn to use basic scuba gear, including a mask, snorkel, fins, regulator, buoyancy control device (BCD), weights and a tank. As you will be learning to dive in the tropical warm waters of Paradise, you will wear a light wet suit over your swim suit. All dive gear is provided for your course. When you're fitted with your scuba equipment you can begin your pool training. Your Paradise Instructor will put into practice the techniques you learned in the academics program. Your training dives will be logged and approved by your instructor before you move on to the open water. Open Water Training: Get ready to experience everything you've learned with the freedom of open water. As soon as your open water training dives are approved by your instructor you will be a certified diver. PADI Open Water Diver certification is recognized worldwide so your diving experiences will be limitless. Kids Scuba Diving Courses:
Scuba Diving is a great way for kids to learn confidence in the water and what a great Family Sport to enjoy together. Your kids can learn to dive as young as 8 years old.
PADI Bubblemaker Course: FJ$205 pp
Bubblemaker is as fun as it sounds – a chance for kids to blow bubbles by scuba diving. Children who are 8 years old or older can use scuba gear to breathe underwater and swim around in shallow water. Kids must be comfortable in the water, but no prior experience is necessary. Parental approval is required. What will your child learn? Bubblemakers get a chance to experience scuba diving under the direct care and supervision of a PADI Pro. They take their first breaths underwater in water shallower than 2 metres /6 feet. They learn about and use scuba diving equipment made for children – not adults and they have lots of fun. What scuba gear will they use? In the Bubblemaker program, participants get a basic introduction to how to use scuba gear, how to clear a regulator and mask,and an overview of breathing do’s and don’ts. Our PADI Dive Instructor will provide anything else needed. This 2 hour course includes basic introduction to scuba diving in the resort pool.
