will be pre-loaded for the meeting and you will have not have access to the presentations for ANY reason until the room moderator unlocks the computer just prior to the start of your session. No changes are permitted after your presentation is submitted to the Chapter. Submission Deadline: The deadline for PowerPoint submissions is midnight on Wednesday 11 October. We have extended the time to midnight to give you a bit more time to prepare. The system will be shut down automatically at that time. If you have not submitted your presentation by that time, you will have forfeited your right to present at the meeting. No excuses, no matter how original, creative, or humorous will be accepted. We STRONGLY encourage you not to wait until the last minute to submit electronically as the servers can get overloaded and may cause you to miss the deadline. We are not responsible if you miss the deadline because of a system crash caused by over-utilization.

This section is VERY important How to Title Your Paper: Kindly title the PowerPoint such that it begins with the last name of the first author and the start of the paper title (i.e. Jones Laparoscopic Survey.ppt). We have almost 50 papers being presented at this meeting and this simple step will save me many hours in getting things organized. Your cooperation is most appreciated and fully expected. How to Optimize/Reduce your File Size: If you have photos in your presentation, prior to submitting it PLEASE follow these steps:

1) Open the presentation 2) Select File and then Save As 3) Click on Tools in the Save As dialogue box 4) Select Compress Pictures 5) Select “Screen” Resolution 6) Click OK 7) Save the presentation and then submit as above

This will dramatically reduce the size of all photos in your presentation to the optimal size for projection and is required. By doing this, the size of the file you will transmit to us online will be reduced dramatically. How to Submit: Submit your PowerPoint and complete the online Speaker Disclosure of Relevant Financial Relationships form by going to http://www.ctacs.org. The site will be active by Monday 10/02/2017. Please try to submit early and not flood the system on 10/11/2017. Overly Large Presentations We cannot accept any presentations over 25MB via this submission process. If you presentation is larger than 25MB AFTER OPTIMIZATION AS ABOVE, please contact Christopher Tasik at [email protected] or by phone at 203-912-1636 to make arrangements. The 10/11 deadline still applies if you are submitting via an alternative method. If you do not call (leave a voicemail if I do not answer) or email me prior to deadline you will be disqualified.
