The IDD4 is a patented system based on the principle of analysis developed between the light emitting near-infrared LE�Ds for emitting and analysis of different wavelengths received by 4 photoelectric cells sensitive.

The new IDD4 is very easy to use, managed from a user-friendly interface for viewing real-time operation and the distribution of defects in the lot. Connected to Orphea software, IDD4 is able to affect the fruit to different outputs depending on the quantity of internal defects.

ADVANTAGES:The internal rot defects are not visible from the outside and it is a main trouble for the consumer who buys inedible fruit, good to go straight to the trash.

To avoid such issue, the central procurement offices regularly take samples, and lots found with a limited percentage of unacceptable defects are returned to the sender, which would likely cause a large financial loss.

IDD4 (Internal Defect Detection) has been designed to detect any of these internal defects, and ensure that the percentage of defective products will be well below the threshold. This internal defect detection tool is essential for the proper packaging of fruits.

Most varieties of fruit in the world are affected by internal defects. These defects called Internal Browning or Watercore, are usually identified as internal rot.
