Buckswood has a proud heritage of preparing scholars for life (Ad Vitam Paramus) and to take their place at the UK’s top universities. With many years experience and with relationships built with university admissions departments, Buckswood has honed a winning formula, culminating in a 100% university entrance rate. Over twenty universities from the UK and further afield visit the school to give expert advice on picking the right course and university for each scholar. The University Fair is the ideal opportunity for Buckswood scholars to get ahead, ask the right questions and begin their journey to higher education. With the support on offer in Buckswood Sixth Form, the world really is your oyster!

Buckswood prides itself on its university placements, GCSE and A Level results are all very important however the final goal, university, is where any school should be judged. At Buckswood we shine when it comes to the UCAS process and the correct placement of scholars. We spend many hours with our scholars counselling them and helping them in choosing not only the right course but also the university that they will enjoy, and this is not always London based!

If you glance through our statistics you will find that students have gone on to study a breadth of subjects, we do not hold them back in fact we encourage them to go out there and pursue their career choice from Petroleum Engineering to Policing (Investigating and Criminology). Each scholar must feel comfortable in their choice as well as ensuring that the course they study has a good chance of providing a job and a career path.

The Buckswood relationship does not stop when the scholar goes off to University; we’re still here for help and advice and our old boys network also helps in job placement.
